"The thing going on right now are people that are not nerds are claiming to be."

There is a legitimate rift between comedy geeks who remember a time when comedy clubs were essentially private spaces and the young folks who live in a world where anything said publicly is immediately available for public scrutiny. This applies to women's issues, race, and other rough subjects. Most comedians have to

I buy disposable single blades for my face and spend about as much. Even ditching them after two uses, it takes me almost a month to go through a 3 dollar bag of them. I keep trying to explain the world of difference between dragging one sharp edge across your face and three or four to my friends.

As a mostly smooth guy, I really dislike having leg hair and shaved for a number of years. The coarser and thicker it became with age it was just more trouble than it was worth. It just seems to be a completely evolutionary hangover and it gets pulled at awkward places.

I'd never heard of her before, but someone mentioned Sue Perkins as their choice. I think she'd be brilliant. She has an amazing professorly manner and quick wit that just screams Doctor:

Back in classic series days Colin Baker played Commander Maxil in a 5th Doctor story prior to being cast as the 6th Doctor. The writers got around it by simply never referencing it again. There's precedent for weirdness like that.

Oh wow, that is some curly hair. Maybe they were discontinued by the time my sister was into Barbies in the mid 90's. Never seen those before.

Anyone know if it's particularly difficult to get doll hair to frizz-curl like Merida's? Granted its obvious they didn't even try to maintain a likeness; I've just never seen tight curls like that on a small toy.

Did anyone watch all of Boardwalk Empire? I feel like that show did a pretty good job of showing a range of women characters in the 20's including some flappers. Granted, its yet another tragic King Lear/Mob story so its not like many characters get happy endings and most of women are side characters, but if Gatsby

Wayne Knight geeking out over fake shaving cream is probably my favorite thing. Can't wait to have a day off to go see this. I was one of the unlucky kids with responsible parents who didn't bring their 7 year olds to R rated movies.

Eh, little victories where you can get them. We are talking about one the least respected professions in the country.

Because when MRA's bring up sexism against men, its almost always in the context of shouting down and drowning out the legitimate complaints that feminism brings up. There's never any mutual understanding along with it like "Hey, I've experienced something similar, I totally get where you're coming from. Lets discuss

I'm trying to figure out a way to rephrase your comment to make it sound MORE condescending.

I think dogs are fair game if you are among fellow dog people. Same goes for cats, but doubly so.

Oh no, wouldn't want to offend all those sensitive dudebros on kotaku.

You really need to let the tired "attention" thing go. It makes you sound like a child.

"If people can be into turtles fighting crime without everyone thinking they want to bone turtles, then why can't I watch a show about colorful horses who are into being friends?"

Miley, you beautiful, insane mutant. Please be weird forever.

Dental dams are still tough to find in your average pharmacy and a hard sell when you break them out in front a partner. Is it time to give up on those too?

Venting about chronic cultural bullshit isn't quite the same thing as hate.
