@commanderkitty: Deadwood was canceled because it was costing HBO a fortune to make. It was a period piece with a cast full of rising stars and filmed on sets that continually had to be built from scratch.

@capnjack78: I'm still not sure if Hollywood can possibly do justice to We3
@Annalee Newitz: Reminds me of the comic Elephantmen. Though the different species element is heavier, its also very much about veterans of war.
@Death_By_SnuSnu: But you have to admit, Nemo WAS really dark in places, despite a few sing-a-longs. Genuinely frightening even.
@aaronrant [Team Vonnegut]: I've always wanted Eastwood to do Bruce Wayne. If he was a few years younger, I'd want him in a Frank Millar Dark Knight context, but you've sold me on the Beyond film with Waits. That is inspired.
@Death_By_SnuSnu: I agree that the Ghibli one probably would have been much better, but I have very fond memories of the '89 Nemo on VHS. I'd say it was one of my favorite childhood movies. I think the only Ghibli movie I had even seen at that point was the excellent english dub of Kiki's Delivery Service.
I'd like to see Paul Giamatti play Penguin.
@Eridani: I think its a reference to this:
@Brianfowler713 (regarding question 2): Duh. See, if you read your bible, you'd already know that.
@collex: As awesome as it would be, it draw attention to the fact that Joker himself is not on screen (for obvious tragic reasons). Considering the state that the last movie left him in, there's no reason for him to not be involved in such a storyline, but no easy way to bring him back.
As much as I like Nolan's bat-verse, it makes me sad how unlikely it seems that we'll get a Mr. Freeze story that does the character justice. I loved Heart of Ice and the Sub Zero movie from the Animated Series Batman. I think in the hands of a capable screenwriter and directer, you could make a very tense and adult…
@nicholas1987ucsb: Really? You're making a dig against Jezebel readers? Why would you do that? What makes you think there's no crossover readership? There's a link to that site less than half a scroll bar below your comment. It's like putting up a sign on your door saying "HEY, people who live across the hallway from…
How can you be villainous if you own a primate sanctuary? If you're torturing monkeys, its not much of a sanctuary, is it? And how does owning a monkey house possibly help you in carrying out villainous plans anyway? Did he found his primate sanctuary with villainous INTENT, or is his villainy a recent development? I…
@WookieLifeDay: Yo Ho, Yo Ho...
@dnwilliams: The only part of the last three Spiderman films that I'm really sad to see retconned is the finest portrayal of Doc Ock, ever.
@HAL9triple0: Well, in MiB2 they had wanted to put more emphasis on the fact that MiB headquarters also served as sort of an interstellar cross between JFK airport and Ellis Island with all of the hospitality and services that should go along with that. Some aliens are immigrating, some are just passing through. We…
@Pessimippopotamus: I have to say, it may be repeated a bit too often, but the Pandorica speech might be my favorite version of it. No Doctor has made me pump my "Fuck yes" fist in the air like Matt Smith has.
@TheWhiteLight: I'm pretty sure the Battle of Hogwarts will be in Part 2 .
@jonconnington: Seriously, its actually the one game I hope gets a sequel, because as disappointing as it was as a game, the ideas were fantastic. It could probably benefit greatly from a few years of development under a directer who isn't Will Wright.
