It feels like these “retreats” or whatever con-fab these guys went to was really just a meet-and-greet for agents, producers, project titles, and package deals. The Russos left and Favreau jumped over to Star Wars, they needed some solid mid-career guys to pilot the ship and not 3 dozen “jump balls” for bargain

This whole thing might go down better as a binge. There’s a bunch of great acting scenes with actors acting with good, chewy dialogue. I think acting can gut-it through an average comic book story, but it needs to accumulate so that by the end the character work sort of bowls over the plot. Hawkeye is a great binge,

It could also be called the SHOE PITA P-ZUMP or the “Spooky Hallway of Extras Plugged in to a Purple Zapping Unconscious Mind Projector” so ... you know ... I don’t want to presume to be the final word on the subject.

Yeah, this is Ben Mendelsohn’s show. Ben-Adir has been good increasingly each ep, and Jackson is fine - a little too reliant on his overall career persona (Jules, Snakes on a Plane, etc) - or the writing and direction is feeding him a few too many Tarantino-isms, but he plays off Mendelsohn pretty well.

Rhodey is going to be a main character in Ironheart and Armor Wars. He’s not going to be a Skrull in those - that would be too much dip-shittery. If he’s a Skrull now, he’ll get rescued in the end from the “Tunnel of Extras Plugged in to a Purple Unconscious Mind Projector” or the TOE PITA PUMP.

His episode of the Muppet Show was a standout.

I’m from Wisconsin, and before clicking all the way through, my guess was they’d choose “The Great Outdoors” with John Candy and Dan Aykroyd. I knew vaguely that Bridesmaids was set down around Chicago, but Milwaukee? Okay. Blanked on it, I guess. It’s tough because Wisco doesn’t get a lot of movie settings - TV

I was kinda flipped the opposite way: Last week I could tell it was AI right off the bat, and I felt (admittedly passively) “Aw. A.I.? There’s so many artist at Disney/Marvel that could have hand drawn this and done a better job.”

I don’t know if he was a FOX Host (“host” heh) but my first reaction was that he was doing a Lindsay Graham “homage.” My thoughts went to “Senator” but ex-pol-personality feels right. Mike Huckabee-ish.

Superman has at least six (I think) distinct themes. Superman March ... Planet Krypton ... Leaving Home ... Fortress of Solitude ... March of the Villains ... Can You Read My Mind ... it’s crazy that each one has a hook - you can whistle it.

Bug Tunnel/Death Trap” is one of those great Williams tunes that’s a 3 minute Pow! and he comes up with a theme, just tossed off, that would kill as the main theme to any number of other thrillers. A-and he never uses it again in the movie. It’s like a killer pop song. It amazes me when he does this stuff. “Battle in

Getting his balls scrubbed by the decontamination guys was also gold. Maybe if the fridge hit a reservoir and skipped along the surface of the water for a half mile, idk. Dumb-ass focal action surrounded by some clever before and after.

Keep him in the werewolf show! He’s good in that. Paramount+ throw some practical fx budget at it

So the scratch from Goose gave Fury they ability to see Skrulls, right? I’m hoping Jackson’s performance reflects that to some degree.

You must have served with Bobbi and Mac under Commander Gonzales.

I know, I was kidding. But Fraggle Rock? No one remembers, but that premiered way back in like HBO’s 4th year.

My two thoughts: Kids, sure - they’re in. But there is a sweet audience demo that consists of young twenty-something zoomer marijuana users who want to go out on a second date. This movie is custom made for them.

Yo hambone, Star Wars Visions Season Three is on the proverbial phone asking for a stop motion animated 13 to 21 minute short feature, possibly featuring the vocal talents of Edward Norton, Tilda Swinton, and Jason Schwartzman.

“I remember Manny. He made a killer Gornt Pie in spicy brown sauce.”

Nice example for future Countdown Slideshow Evil Geniuses: make the first entry bad enough that everyone will argue about it. Frontloaded Clickbait.
