In Rogers and Gilmour’s newest legal kerfuffle, Gilmour wants the rights to the Floyd catalogue to pass into a more liberal state of availability - so bands can more fully cover their music - or even become like a Greatful Dead with new touring members. (If I understood it right.) Plus they argued over the Animals

C+ ?! But... But this was the great special effects/beautiful sunsets/everyone reveals their truth and clears the deck emotionally before the final battle episode! Wha...? At least a B+ from me. Elora’s had the death-vision. We know more about Willow’s backstory. Enough for this season, anyway. They live in a

Regarding the Prequels:

I did a full 5 hour binge of Hawkeye over Christmas. (It gets better on repeated viewings and I found myself more forgiving of some of the side plot goofiness.) The first time around I didn’t pick up on the in-joke where Clint and Kate are constantly using bags of freezer food on their bruises. The toy store/warehouse

I expected this list to end on: “Wednesday’s Dance Takes over the Internet.” I liked the elbow side-to-side move, and I liked when she showed her partner her neck - it could be read as showing vulnerably - though performative - so it’s body language with character layers. Would Wednesday get a season 2 without it?

I think the nepo-baby thing is just that this year saw a glut come through the pipe. Just Boom-Xers’ kids hit that right age where they got sick of living with mom and dad (and the staff). It doesn’t bug me too much. The A-list transition never seems 1 to 1. I rather like seeing the surprise kids make good (Zosia

I’m a thirsty, thirsty soundtrack nut. I used to listen to the Willow soundtrack on cassette while biking on my paper route (remember those?). (Also btw, the soundtracks to Silverado, Explorers, Raiders, and all the Star Warses.) I appreciate that they haven’t pounded James Horner’s Willow Theme yet. Like other famous

Just watched this last night. It’s a bigger version of Boogie Nights. Whereas at the end of Boogie Nights you’re kind of like “Whoa, what did I just see?” plus the “tee hee” of Porn. This one is more like (thanks to both “Boogie Nights” and “Casino” and others ... Altman films) “Whoa ... I know what I just saw” plus a

Adult Swim Yule Log

Not too much different than wanting the clicks though. The “Richards” from Time and Newsweek were actively encouraged to give opposing takes. A lot of movie reviewers back then did Broadway reviews too. They knew back then that being pissy still helped sell more papers. And it wasn’t just an act. Some of these

Mentioning the HotD wedding reminded me of the two fantasy shows that could have made the scenes list:

Seems like a no-brainer this site should do a “Top Dance Scenes of 2022" what with Peacemaker, Wednesday, The Dropout, and more. House of the Dragon’s wedding dance started out looking kinda fun, then ended with a guy detting his head caved in.

They probably still want him for cameos in Enola Holmes 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 ... so... bridge not completely burned?

I’d still give it an... oh... 8% chance he’s got a handshake agreement to come back for a “Kingdom Come” adaptation - and Gunn and Cavill are doing the very Marvel thing of complete denial for a few years (in this case a decade) before a “Whoops, we planned this all along.”

They rehired him and then fired him, because... Warner Brothers.

I was just thinking the same thing. Here’s a conversation Gunn probably isn’t looking forward to.

The biggest laugh of the episode wasn’t so much the “I hate you door!” line, but Boorman’s follow-up apology... to said door. “I’m sorry. I’m fine. We’re fine.”

That did bug me. I guess if I were to go down the path of hypotheticals, I’d say: “Geez that Bavmorda clan can turn bitchy from time to time.”

I remember someone on the Sopranos saying they did a take on everything they shot with no swearwords in the event the show ever went into syndication. Sure, syndication is largely gone now, but maybe they’re going to sell the rights for Westworld to TBS...? So they can say “Westworld ... now EXCLUSIVELY on TBS (or TNT

From ep1 I was liking Tony Revolori’s performance. Way better material here than what he had to work with in the Spider-Man movies. That’s not a knock on the Home Trilogy, it just is what it is. He’s a good fit here.
