After rewatching last week’s hotel room scene with Swanee, Zelmare, and Ethelrida and then this week’s shootout, I’m warming up to the two outlaws. I know they’re cartoon characters, but they’re just plain fun. Both of them gunning down mobsters with their pantyhose seemingly hiked up too high was a stitch.

I waited ten days past premier date to watch this so so my take isn’t particularly fresh. I think what Kayla is missing from her reviews is that Dani’s struggle (to my eyes anyway - and God Help Me, I may be projecting) is one of mental illness. Owen’s Mother and Owen’s monologue about transcendence in the face of

I agree with all your comments. By the end I thought this was about as good as Hill House - but it’s a different beast - or trying to be (Similar soundtrack aside - which is beautiful btw... but I think of it like Fargo—similar musical score/different seasons). I think this is where the spoilers & queer representation

Where is he on the Herman Cain Timeline? That marker must be getting close. I’m thinking the full-on screaming straitjacket-required meltdown will kick-in on Monday when his debate performance will come off just as bad as before, his Hunter Biden attacks backfire, his polling craters, and the specter of Herman Cain

Fair point.

HBO & Warner just want to pair this with Man of Steel and B v S so they have one big nine hour mini-series. Eleven if you stick Suicide Squad in there. May as well do a director’s version of that one too. May as well shoot a three and a half hour sequel with Slade and Lex Luthor and whatever. idk. Maybe it’s an

Anyone know if the killer Odis was referring to was a real guy?

When Winstead had her shootout at the end of season 3 with the patrolman, the use of the Fargo theme there was devastating. The subtler use here, I agree, was very effective.

Well, the superhero stunts and action filming were alright. Feels a little like too many producer-cooks in the kitchen. (She vamps! She kills a guy! She’s extra-legal but she’s still good! She’s relatable yet aloof! She’s really just a single gal with a cat and a beer at the end of the night.) Fingers crossed, in the

I mourn the loss of “Shut Eye.” I think it fell through the cracks as shows transitioned from Cable to Paid Streaming. In this case Hulu. Stellar cast, though. Great last line before cancellation: “Fuck you, Charlie.”

Daredevil sucks a little bit. But Matt and Co. are in such a good place it almost feels like an ending. Yes, Bullseye is revealed ... but if you look at it like every superhero gets his supervillain, then the Bullseye reveal is kind of like a little bonus. “...and they lived happily ever after... in constant comic book

Dexter meets/starts dating a Canadian fraking-industry lobbiest, because maybe ... you know, he might get back into the swing of things ... but then she invites him to join her on a business junket to Mar-A-Lago. Hmm.

Plus they were in the mode of “one new season a year - come hell or high water!” Some shows need a year and a half or two to let the story gel. Prestige shows do it now and it’s not looked upon as terrible.

Smits was one of the few positives in the back half of Sons of Anarchy too.

Go for it Gramps and Gramma! Whoo-hoo! Sexy.

I thought “yes” to almost all of these except Barry. And Evil ... idk if I can see Evil going there.

Still could. Or the whole fourth season as a radio play/podcast/table read.

Maybe it’s because there’s a Nazi scent on the breeze these days (thanks The Boys - among others) my knee jerked: Oreatta’s a Nazi.

There’s some further reveal coming in Rabbi’s flashback.
