For about three episodes I thought Geraldine killed Kenny. She may still have if the show wants to bend wa-ay over backwards to get there. Even at the end, when the Bitter Pill staff sat Carolyn down, there was some suspense as to who it would be. I suspected Kenny’s gf at one point too (“it was someone he knew,”

Now playing

I agree, although the Dragon episode did have this high point:

So, Celeste’s eternally 12-year-old vampire mentor must have been down with all the familiars crashing at the vacationing vampire’s crib. Did I get that right? There’s a lot of potential material there.

Agreed

I want one, but I don’t want to want one. They’d blow it out of the water, but this children’s show was a good venue. The Magicians kind of put the trope to bed. I think they’d do it if they could find another good concept other than blah-blah magic is making us do this. The Leftovers a couple years back had a Karaoke-

Even better!

I thought it was a gag about how all these characters stand behind their consoles and you never see their legs ... makes it funnier if either the co-captains made them dress this way, or that Charlie thought Sara & Ava would appreciate their “show’s” costume design.

Top Pick by a mile is Agents of Shield. HBO Max can go stuff itself.

Have to give shout outs to the Brazil (The Movie - I feel like I have to say this now) set designs and props: all typewriters and spring-armed magnifying screens.

I hope they don’t crossover (Hawkman & girl aside). I like this show’s universe as-is. Really efficient and solid opener.

On the plus side, this was a good episode for Nathan Lane.

Back in season one I thought maybe Carolyn had recruited Eve to become an assassin. But since Kenny, the show doesn’t seem to be going that way. Just simply collecting monsters as she explains over the cold omelette.

Good that the coup was thwarted! Imagine Trump having the rights to play “Don’t Stop Believin’” at all of his rallies. It would be a gag-reflex verp on top of a situation already overflowing with gag-reflexes.

I could see that. It’s a bit of the “Skinny Steve” scenario. The whole B or C plot of the series would have to be this really odd story of how Jen tries to gain confidence with lawyering and the law. How being She-Hulk kind of fucks-up her career and how she can put these two sides together. The show could be kind of

Also whatever the residual insurance hassles are ... Both parties, I'm sure, could complain about that.

I wish they’d cast her as She-Hulk too. (This ploy for Batwoman could be a leveraging move to force Marvel to S or get off the P.) Marvel got Alison Brie stuck in their craw and I feel like they can’t back out of it. I like Brie in Glow, but Marvel, up until now, has cast actors that are spot-on lookalikes for their

amen

Same universe only focused on four roommates in New Zealand. Waititi and Clemment are bigger comic personalities than the TV show cast - but their dynamic as roommates are a little different. It’s great though, the style is identical. When you first saw the movie, all the concepts were fresh - the faux docu-style cut

You were correct, of course. Must have seen the “created by” credit.

Factor in the back injury, though. They may say she got past it. She may claim she got past it. But after an injury like that, as a human, you never get all the way past something like this. If the scales were even, that little bit of residual trauma might have put her decision over the top.
