He made his dialogue sing. He’s kind of in the Cavanaugh & Jessie L Martin class of actor coming from other A list material and doing these goofy shows for what looks like just pure fun.

I’m not saying it has to be her, it probably won’t be from the stand point that they would have to pay the entire cast Maisie Williams money. But she’s one of the few who has this character in her wheelhouse. Plus, if they do the sequence where Faye gets Ed all dolled-up, it would resonate.

Thank you. I def. agree there are shows that don’t work as well bingeing. Mindhunter, for example, is overwhelming in a binge. Thinking back to 15 years ago, The Wire feels like it works better once-a-week too. Agents of Shield and Legends of Tomorrow ... eat ‘em up like potato chips!

The show has a pretty cool, techno-musical vibe that sets it apart from the other CW shows. Hints of a theme in there but nothing yet overt like Flash’s Speedster theme.

I still say take a shot and see if Maisie Williams would do it. I know Ed’s supposed to be 13 or 14, but what the heck. Make her 20 and really dorky/weird and it would probably work. MW wouldn’t want to play another girl-posing-as-a-boy character, sure, but there’s enough essential character there that aging her 6…
