Too true. That she halfway outs her dad still cracks me up.

On the downer side, who can top Liva and Tony Soprano? "Oh, poor you!"

Glad "Easy A" got a mention. I did a mental run through of animated features and would like to mention the girls Satsuki and Mei and their dad in "My Neighbor Totoro." Dad's dealing with some stressful shit and you'd never know because he's at heart an upbeat guy. Of course then the neighbor helps out.

It would be fascinating if The Patriot actually put on Cap's suit for awhile. The shield is available, after all. His tenure could rise and (let's say) resolve anytime before Infinity Wars comes out. Good stuff a-comin'.

Little details like the torture chair getting so much use that the bolts on the feet start splintering the wood boards - and it becomes a call-back later when Exley and White rip a hole in the floor during the final shoot out… little things like that make you appreciate that screenplay.

Alan Silvestri hits about 1 in 10. Back to the Future is great, but The Abyss is bad. When I saw he was doing music for The Avengers I knew it would be disappointing and bland and it was.

Godzilla sat up straight, surprising everybody. The fight was over. All the little people assumed he was dead, but really he was just exhausted. He had slowed his heart rate to one beat per hour and the good people of San Francisco were too scared to disturb him.
He was sitting on his tail so he scootched toward

There was that scene with the quick affair between the guard and the inmate early on, so you could argue that the kiss here is showing the youngsters become more part of the machine. Plus, Zallian and Price can't totally deny their pulp entertainment tendencies.

Cat, we need you to rap
Cat, we need you to rap
Don't give to us slow
Cause we know you know
New power soul
Gotta gotta gotta go!

TV Commercial Rant

I love this musical with its great show-stopping number …

There's plenty of funk
Going down
And around
(It's what I've found)
Huh.
