I found myself flipping around and cherry-picking the parts I liked best.

See, this was my favorite episode of the season so far for the very reason that it was a little more plot and less wall to wall character slams. Plus everything is coming up Slattery these days and I couldn't be happier.

I sort of sighed too at the prospect that everything Jules Verne is off the table. Maybe H.G. Wells is still open for reinterpretation.

Would a season 4 or 5 Cthulu plot be a reasonable request? Or any old Lovecraft for that matter?

Mention also: The Twilight Zone is either a Viacom property (old shows end with a newer CBS logo attached) or an MGM property (MGM Studios was Disney's partner in these sections of the parks … 10 or 15 years ago. MGM since purchased by WB). So either way it's no real shock that the rides are getting a make over.

I still think the highway battle from Winter Soldier is the Top Dog of action sequences, but the 3 way/4 way fight at the end of this one was pretty darn good.
