I’ve never heard of a school pulling a scholarship because a player isn’t playing well (if there are examples of this please share). That seems shady even by NCAA standards. Scholarships are usually revoked when the player breaks the law or a team rule.

What an outlandish assumption.

You can tell everyone in the crowd and on the other team delights in each of LaMelo’s on-court blunders. It looks like a coach on the other team claps aggressively in his face after LaMelo gets called for a travel. It sucks for him, because he didn’t create any of this, but it’ll haunt him for the foreseeable

Sincere thanks for writing about cycling. I wasn’t able to watch much of the Giro this year, so I appreciate your summary!

This isn’t journalism, nor is it pretending to be. You clearly don’t understand that, and that’s on you.

It’s not guaranteed at all. The Lakers haven’t given any indication that they are going to take Ball - everyone just assumes it now because of Lavar has been trying to will it into existence for months.

You’re dead on about the location, from my experience. I went to a Saturday/Sunday home-and-home between Montreal and Ottawa in March, and I’ll never fucking go to the Canadian Tire Centre again. It’s 30+ minutes away from Ottawa proper, like you said, but it’s also a total clusterfuck of a civil engineering job.

Marcus Smart is a bad basketball player who tricks you into thinking he contributes by doing “the little things”. Or something.

Calcitonin is an endogenous hormone infrequently prescribed as a nasal spray for osteoporosis (i.e. it is used to strengthen bones). Did he really say he gave it to strengthen nasal bones? That can’t be right...

Colton Sissons: 10 points in the regular season (58 games), 10 points in the playoffs (16 games). That kind of unexpected production wins Cups.

Yeah he definitely says something to the kid who picked up the bat, too.

Sports radio is easy!

Right. IT is “the problem”. Get rid of the guy that got your team to the ECF. The problem is that the other team has LeBron James, so doesn’t matter who your best player is.

Not disagreeing with your article, but I wonder if it’s a “chicken or the egg” situation. The Predators are really good, and have been for a few years now. Is it a home-ice advantage now because they’re a winning team, and people will always show up to see that? Or is it a home-ice advantage because people care

If a pitch outside the box is called a strike, it’ll show up as a strike. Similarly, if a pitch inside the box is called a ball, it’ll show up as a ball. The box is just your “average” strike zone.

It’s not

That’s a lot of money to a lot of people, but not to NBA teams.

Cool anecdote. She definitely should have been fired, though.

The second guy does a “well, actually” and proceeds to say the same thing the first guy said...

I’m 3 days late to the party here, but you are really, really gross.
