There’s a myriad of ways to circumvent registering your car.

The “it’s technically new because no registration” might be legally correct, but if someone was trying to sell me a car as new after putting 200 miles on it plus another “weekend drive thru the Appalachians” worth of miles, I’d tell them to get out of here with that “new” b.s., espeically with aftermarket options that

Yeah, I didn’t know that was possible either. It’s almost like he planned to flip it, and is using Jalopnik for publicity to potentially get a higher offer. Hmmmmm.......

Im also confused by the registration thing..I dont get it but im sure someone on this site knows how that works.

I move a backhoe maybe once or twice a year. Not regularly. Actually not all all right now sans truck unless I borrow one. But almost every general contractor I know who builds residential homes has a backhoe. The Case 580 is kinda the universal tool. That and a telehandler. Both are pretty heavy but within the tow

Every time we passed a 4door Wrangler my wife would comment on how cool they looked. Then we went on vacation and rented one, it took half a day for her to realize she does NOT want a Wrangler.

Yup, and it’s likely not the weight that’s dropping his mph, but the horrendous aero.

I’m not sure what he’s complaining about here.

This is precisely how I feel... What really sucks is that I thought I was biding my time till my income could afford me an upgrade, but the cost of the upgrade has been steadily out-pacing me for the last few years.

Not sure why he didn’t get that Truecoat....

Great article. This is another example of how vigorous regulation is required to combat loopholes created by “best government money can buy” industry lobbyists. From the link:

I have few years on you, I blame my tinnitus on loud cars, loud bikes and rock and roll. I’d say it was worth it. (-;

This is an unassailable fact:

Because the trucking industry has good lobbyists who know where to spread the cash and get results. The only reason it’s legal is because of a legislative carve-out.

According to the FAA there are exponentially more unruly passengers now than the previous record, which was all the way back in 2003.

Bingo! These things may be 3-4X as common currently, but 3-4X almost never is still almost never across the incredible number of flights there are daily.

It’s the same reason “glider kits” for heavy trucks exist.

Just say:I’m not paying for the guy behind me”. But tip the coffee team the cost of your drink. Or double, whatever, but you don’t have to continue this performative bullshit. Tip the people who need it (the understaffed, overworked, underpaid employees) and let the dude behind you pony up for his own order.

I’m pretty anti-prison, and I want real criminal justice reform, so the idea of an 18 year old being warehoused and incarcerated for four years is not an appealing one to me either.

You could have played it on your phone’s browser you giant ass.
