I suspect there was no backlash because he was great, went through a spell where Nadal and Djokovic regularly beat him, so everyone felt sorry that he was on the backside of his career and with both of those two no longer dominant, Federer is old enough that everyone can appreciate his greatness.

Yeah, only idiots who didn’t follow the case thing that Lewis did anything wrong. Hell, it was a case of clear self defense by the alleged murders which is why they got off.

After seeing those goals, all I could think of is...

Deadspin cherry picking and taking things out of context? I’m shocked!!!

Bullshit. People hate him like they do Johnny Manziel. Everyone hates a front running jerk.

I think PVZ would have taken out Calderwood easily because Calderwood is mentally weak and wilts under pressure and pressure and cardio is by far PVZ’s best weapons.

That is pretty much what Jeremy Roenick said in his retirement speech. From Wiki...

Especially since Magic is doing the BS Report podcast next week. Really, Magic is an owner in a coming juggernaut in the Dodgers where he'll be making a huge amount of cash over the coming years. I can't see why he wouldn't be too busy to do both.

Yes, the NHL is still by far the top hockey league in the world. That is probably the biggest reason why Russian players play here. Also, Russian players probably like getting paid on time. That being said, as the KHL matures it could be an issue for NHL in getting Russian talent.

One might say they are uppity.

That's bull. Glenn was the one who started it and Glenn was the one who wouldn't let it go today. I suspect Simmons was this close to calling his lawyers about Glenn lying about him.

He did that last year.

Not only the field is wider, but the stadium was also made so the sight lines were perfect for soccer and football as well. With the upper deck tarped up, the lower bowl is a great size for a soccer team as well (Seattle just outgrew that very quickly). Read up on the history of the stadium as to why it's a lot better

You forgot Orlando City. They average over 5,000 a match and are talking about building a 18k stadium in downtown Orlando. They seem to be a lock to get team 21 or 22 with Atlanta in 2017 when Blank builds his new stadium for the Falcons (MLS has been talking to Blank about making it soccer friendly like Century Link

Also, this "offer" is nothing but the Wilpons and their puppet on council, Vallone Jr. trying to muddy the waters and kill MLS in Queens because they don't want the competition. MLS in a baseball stadium wouldn't work, and they know it.

That stadium was also built specifically for soccer and football. The soccer vote helped get Century Link built which is why Paul Allen had to let them play there for little rent so he got an ownership stake in the team.

Heh. Not the brightest article on Deadspin and that's saying something. It's like Issac did absolutely no research in the subject. What a shock!

I might be going to hell for this...

They registered City FC and Empire FC. The Cosmos group are now going to be playing in the NASL (USSF Div 2) in Hosftra next year. The problem is that MLS wants $100 million for the expansion fee for a NY franchise and the Cosmos group don't have the money to do that and pay for a new stadium as well.
