Always weird when they call themselves heroes. Seems like something you let someone else say.

I’m amazed there isn’t a picture of a pea crab in the article...speachless actually
I don’t know anything about the dog, but since he’s got one eye he should be named Nick Furry.
“While there’s clearly something going on with Eleanor, her fiancé Jack (Tony Dalton), and Jack’s uncle Armond III (Simon Callow), it seems like that’s going to be rooted more in the show’s central family theme than in some giant global conspiracy.”
I think this trope dates to Heatcliff in Wuthering Heights, and probably even further back. I seem to recall there used to be someone on staff at Jezebel that had a PhD in English Lit - this would have been a good one for them to bring some depth to.
Maybe... maybe make Lupita Nyong’o and Danai Gurira the stars instead of this anti-vax whacko.
Here’s an idea: let’s stop plastering Baldwin’s face and name in every article about this. Jesus christ. And it’s not just here, it’s everywhere. All you’re doing is feeding the ringwing dicknutbags and trolls.
I had to ask my mother the other day to stop commenting on my (5 y.o.) daughter’s weight, even though the comments are meant to be good or encouraging. Thanks, she doesn’t need to know you’re constantly judging her weight or figure, even when the appraisal is positive.
I agree that makes more sense for most of us as viewers, although I have plenty of family and friends from northern England that do not appreciate their accents regularly being used to imply a lack of class - it’s really just playing on familiar stereotypes, despite the fact that plenty of reasonably wealthy have…
The scene from Exorcist III. If you have seen it you know. If not:
I know Dirtbag is snarky, but that blurb about Kumail seems rude unless I’m misinterpreting it. He was excited about his body transformation and shared it with the world. He never had people focus on his body and looks before and realized how uncomfortable it makes him. For him to acknowledge that, I think is…
I ‘m seeing a pattern here that I’ve seen elsewhere (including on this site), and I’d like to draw attention to it:
You’re not wrong that writing criticism is a personal journey, but there’s no such thing as overthinking a show. Not everyone agrees with that: trust me, I’ve been living with this claim for over a decade now. But as someone whose literal job—and my second job—is to analyze media in a way that many would claim to be…
English: it's wacky.
We only have one bathroom, so I’m relegated to pooping in the shower.
Not sure I’m feeling the Scarlett snark. I know the website is only *supposedly* feminist but why the fuck are you undermining a woman standing up for allegedly getting screwed after signing a contract that said something else was going to happen?
The perfect portable ketchup (or as we call it, “Tomato Sauce”) dispenser is already available in Australia.
I know that The Internet turned on Chris Pratt shortly before Parks & Recreation ended, going so far as to suggest he’s a Trump supporter, but…why are we suddenly badmouthing Anya Taylor-Joy and CHARLIE DAY?
“Obvious prank makes for great misleading article header”
Okay, but why would I do that?
