And the fun, try-your-luck quality of secondhand shopping.

I know that the AV Club is all Simpsons references all the way down, but my preferred Speed parody is from Father Ted.

Makes sense, since I presume they were the most fearsome and dangerous predators for most of those regions. I mostly remember learning about them from Little House in the Big Woods and Pa's night-time encounter with what turned out to be a blackened tree stump.

Last season someone said 'agenda', which seemed really wrong. It's Latin, so I guess pre-dates the time period, but it's a bit hard to image it had filtered all the way up to Scandinavia.

Intertesting! Thank you.

I'm kind of tempted to submit that moment to King of Disparate TV Things, even if it would probably lose by a huge margin. (And now I have to edit because I just realised that's a feature on a different website and probably no one knows what I mean - http://previously.tv/featur…

The ironic smash or ironic segue.

'You say this movie is no good, and yet another movie had better reviews! Gotcha!'

I've always been a big fan of The Reels version (which quite possibly I heard before the original). A totally different take on the song.

I just re-watched Sense8 and again found myself wishing they would just have characters speak in their own languages. I have a futile hope that they will do that in the second season.

Christ, thanks for a terrifying image!

I guess I was thinking at the end of the season - keep the two shows in sync for crossovers.

I presume Enzo's hand was reattached and then healed, so we have no data to draw from here.

Sure, and it's pretty boring tv too, I'm just surprised it never came up as a solution to neutralising a threat like Klaus. (Edit - actually, Kol was going to chop off Jeremy's arms to disable him without triggering the curse, so I guess it has been used as an idea).

I guess its not manageable for budget/FX reasons, but I've always wondered why someone doesn't just chop the limbs off an immortal foe. Fine, you can't kill Klaus, but how well can he do with both legs gone?

So a time jump coming up for The Originals as well maybe?

Carrie commented on the direction, and there were some nicely done moments, but there was one real clunker.

Yep, especially when you have things happening that affect the greater world, like the Other Side imploding (which I think did eventually get mentioned on TO), or threats to the sire lines.

Looked like hindi to me (not that I read it, just have seen it a bit). And we know he has investments in India, right?

1 May, but that's nearly three months away!
