Yep, I have to apologise to them for my pessimistic predictions, 'cause that was pretty good.

There's this astoundingly bad movie called Creature that I saw years ago, about an 'amphibious' shark, that instantly makes any mention of a 'Land Shark' ten times more ridiculous than it already is. At one point, the shark jumps out of a tree.

What's Joe's plan here? If it is Harrison Wells, the only answers are going to be via Star Labs, not police work, he needs to loop them in asap.

I was going to say that of course it will be a female voice, but then I realised that wouldn't provide opportunities for some gay panic.

Rowena tried to rally some witches, creepy little girl was creepy, I think Castiel was healed/despelled?, and I seriously contemplated fast-forwarding.

Goddamn-it Supernatural, I've stuck with you through the years and been prepared to forgive a lot, but between last week's Most Boring Episode ever, and this week's Metallicar POV… well, I'm not going to quit, 'cause I'm a masochist like that, but my viewship is about to becoming very much 'begrudging'.

Buffy fans were the first I saw using portmanteaus - Spuffy and Bangel. More dumb than sickly sweet though.

Yeah, I bought it on DVD in a discount store a few years ago for my brother for Christmas. We have a tradition of buying each other something cheap and dumb, but then we watched it after Christmas dinner and found that it held up far better than expected. The plot actually largely makes sense, unlike Turk 182, which

I probably first saw her in Princess Bride, but I also remember her from Flashback, with Kiefer Sutherland and Dennis Hopper, which was one of the films that my brother and I hired out repeatedly for some reason. I realised then that she was not actually an old crone and that, hey, movie-make up is a thing.

They're failing - I had assumed it was actually made/marketed by ICP (granted, all my insane clown-knowledge comes from this website…).

The Beastie Boys know when to let the 'suit

I prefer to believe someone programmed a pun into the lift.

And he didn't even ask what floor she was on - what if it was only the second? No way he would have made it.

I like the face he made when Terrence said something like 'I just wanted to see your face when you found about the takeover' (or whatever, the face wiped my memory of the dialogue).

Did anyone catch in the lift down to the secret lab - after Vaughan scanned his hand, I'm pretty sure the recording said 'Lifting to the max"'.

Shh… Australian tv doesn't count! (and in conversations about inclusiveness it definitely doesn't).

It's not 'too controversial' - it's too bigoted to say most places, thankfully. Linda Evans is talking about playing a transgender character with respect in the 70s, and here, 40 years later, you can't get past disgust?

This episode and the review's mention of Myra Hindley reminded me of a fascinating documentary I saw called 'Being Maxine Carr'.

Commenting very late here, but I only know Lenora Critchley from Being Human too, and it seemed like her costuming in this was a bit of a homage to that show, which made White Bear all the crueler.

I'm pretty sure in that Do/Date/Delete conversation about Dermot Mulroney/Dylan McDermott, they wrongly identified McDermott as being 'great on New Girl', which is pretty awesome.
