@Kevitivity: I can see where the idea that using acoustic music is best would come from but I don't think that can apply broadly.

@bobkoure: I also love when the harbor ferries out to the islands are free. It's only something like once a year if they are even doing it still, and it gets busy and full of kids, but going out to the islands is always great and something a lot of people don't even know you can do.

I am lucky to be from Boston, where a lot of high quality vintage speakers came from, and are literally still left on the side of the road. There are some actual, not just relatively, cheap ways to get into really appreciating higher quality audio.

I have played at the Monkey House and walked by this building many many times. Great spot.

It isn't the topic being discussed here, but if I find myself wanting isolation in public I go with in ear monitors. Easier to travel with, better isolation, more discrete, etc.
