I don’t like to think of the Gamecube as Old Nintendo, but I guess it kind of is at this point. I wasn’t even a teenager when it came out, but I remember playing Luigi’s Mansion, beating it, and then eagerly awaiting Melee. That was honestly the last Nintendo console that I loved.

I don’t think you are tackling this from the right angle, if a kid is bored, no amount of game design expertise is going to hold their attention, and nothing drives a kid away faster than realizing the game is patronizingly taking care of them. They might ask a parent or a sibling for help, because they trust that

This is a very interesting question, as an aspiring game designer myself. But to start off, let me just get this out of my chest:

Or just leave your bags at the hotel and start your vacation? My wife and were in this exact scenario in NYC: dropped of our bags and walked out the door to start exploring the city.

No games have reset buttons anymore and haven’t for a very long time!! And games rarely have them too. These people need to come up with new terminology. At least they stopped saying “cyberspace’.

Well, no, it’s not. There’s nothing in the Constitution guaranteeing the rights of immigrants or any non-citizen outside of the country.

After the limp-wristed statement by the ESA, it is nice to see a developer come out like this. Hopefully more of the AAA’s do this.

Hope more dev teams start doing this
