I’d say the reaction to a joke that was kinda clever, kinda meh, very harmless is perhaps a reason why Democrats lost the election.

Yeah, I can’t believe people with $50k+ student loan debt getting paid $25k at their entry level menial jobs who can’t get a $150k mortgage due to their debt to income ratio much less save up the $6k+ in fees and closing costs because their rent takes up half their salary and their insurance takes up another quarter…

Problem is, so much of the substantial housing we’re seeing built in US cities are luxury condo complexes, which are often being purchased by people who are either not living there full time, or not at all. That doesn’t help things much.
