CFLs don’t belong anywhere. They have a harsh light, flicker too much for my liking, and the majority take too much time to warm up. Not to mention the blue light waves keeping me up at night and the hazards of dropping one.
Ugh, I hate that aspect of CFL’s, I can not stand waiting for them to warm up, that’s why I broke down and bought some LED’s. Wish I would have bought them the first time before I replaced them all with CFL’s.
As a lighting professional, I wouldn’t recommend 5000-6000K for anything indoors other than industrial use. You’ll find only a few bulbs available in the US market at those temperatures.
