I upgraded ... voluntarily and was miserable. My laptop has a hybrid drive (OS in the SSD, that sort of thing.) With Win7, from the manufacturer-branded boot screen to the win7 desktop (start from power off) was just over a minute.

I missed the 30day back-out window so this past weekend I used a factory restore - and immense update catch-up cycle - to bring Win7 back to my poor tortured laptop after Win10.

Visually, I perceive the reduction in “blues” and radically increasing “yellow.” Back when I first tried on Linux, I didn’t quite “get” what it was supposed to be doing. As the night progressed and the screen got yellower and yellower, I thought the s/w had borked my display driver!!

Unless they add “capacitor” at the end. {wink}

Thanks for showing the “f.lux” can be turned off. I played with F.lux on a linux machine a few years ago - I always suspected it was just a trick to make me turn off the machine/phone and go to bed.

I feel the same way about my unlocked-from-Google Nexus 5. For me, it’s the correct size, the correct speed, even the correct weight.

I prefer to skip the chocolate and go with souls of the innocent.

I was always close with both my parents growing up. After univ I made it a point of touching base regularly including visits, like you do.
