I hope that’s a waterbed because Lea Michele seems excessively thirsty.

Most Californians don’t think twice about inmate firefighters until one dies.

I’m wondering what kind of training and equipment they have. I’m an EMT, but I have asthma so branching over into fire has never appealed to me. Because of local protocols, that means I’m not allowed to respond to any fires at all. I thought about taking the fire class just so I could go to scenes involving fire, and

They just should rename themselves to Travesty.

Not bad, but the letter ‘y’ is doing something seriously wonky...

Georgina Chapman knew what she married to get Marchesa funded and now she’s leaving him to save her brand. Too late, she built her empire on ill-gotten gains and on the backs of abused women, she doesn’t get to cloth those backs too.

How utterly invincible do you think you have to be to grope Terry Crews in public and in front of his wife without any repercussions? What kind of sick, deranged power move is that?

This also throws an even shadier light on Clooney given that he and Pitt are bffs - how could Clooney NOT have known about Weinstein, come ON George!!!

The ones who do speak up or make it clear they don’t like these creepy men just start to lose their careers and with them their public platform. And then anyone who does come forward can easily be made to look bitter, deluded, or in search of money/attention. I’m still not certain what made a difference in this case.

I literally just spoke up. About 15 minutes ago.

He confirms Gwyneth’s account in in the Times story.

I don’t think he made a statement, but the New Yorker article said that he confirmed Goopy’s statement through a representative. He’s the only man that seems to come out of this looking... not awful.

Also, Weinstein had powerful lawyers and PR specialists who could make their lives a living hell, for some women, it wasn’t worth it. And then one woman went to the police and the DA didn’t file charges after Weinstein’s attorney bribed him. What do you expect them to do?

I’m curious though, has he made a statement about him yet? Cause now he certainly can’t take the Clooney route and claim he didn’t know.

Yup, and every single woman on this list will be attacked in some way for speaking publicly.

Re: The Gwyneth Paltrow story, it strikes me that Brad Pitt is the first guy who comes out of this looking like he took a stand when he heard of something happening. Interesting to see he was also quick about confirming this story (through his “people”), as opposed to other actors who are denying up and down that they

Apparently Brad Pitt, who was dating Paltrow at the time of Weinstein accosting her, told Weinstein to never touch Paltrow again. While its hot to imagine sexy young Brad Pitt confronting Weinstein, it also means he knew about Weinstein since the mid-90s.

Women did speak up, at the time. One Italian actress went to the police and he admitted it to the prosecutor and it was still buried. As was said here a memo was circulated about his behavior.

I guess that this kind of treatment starts to feel normal to the victims after awhile? Especially in a place like Hollywood, where, let’s face it, it’s common. Plus, they know how powerful he was and that he’d sue them out of existence. Angelina Jolie said she warned everyone to not work with him and she personally

I just read the New Yorker piece, and the common thread from everyone interviewed was how dirty and ashamed all the women felt. And that’s in their own head with the story NOT front page news. It takes a really strong person to want to tell that kind of story and have that kind of feeling publicly.
