You don’t think it’s real because you’re oversimplifying it. “If you play at a diamond level in placements, you’ll get diamond, and you’re a diamond. Conversation over”

These runs prove no such thing, other than the fact that a GM can carry a game. Plats who are stuck in gold, diamonds who are stuck in plat, that’s a real thing, and they aren’t good enough to carry themselves out, they’re just slightly better than the players around them. ELO Hell is real.

Players are alot nicer because they are less concerned with maintaining their precious rank, and more concerned with relaxing and having a fun, casual time. I hover in low to mid diamond, but my IRL friend is silver/gold. Whenever i play at his house, teammates are just much nicer and calmer. Also more

There’s always one of you. How is that different from real sports? Grown men get paid millions to chase, throw, and kick a ball around, with the scenario limited by arbitrary lines and rules (created structures) and that’s “real world actual competition”? No, that’s middle school play time made into a career. Real

Using that metaphor, it’s more like pointing a few miles away, then saying “get there as fast as possible, by any means possible. break laws, cheat, kill people, steal cars, just get there ASAP. GO.” If they made that a TV show, I’d watch the crap out of it.
It’s the video game version of that. The credits sequence is

Every speedrunning rticle, there’s always a couple ppl saying this. What’s not to get? Do you question when people try to run the 100m dash as fast as possible? Or swim as fast as possible? Do you tell them “slow down, enjoy it, it’s meant to be a hobby”? No. So why tell gamers the same thing?
I don’t get people who

Honestly you shouldn’t be using vsync if you’re arguing how to play to the best of your ability. Tests show Vsync adds about 50ms of input lag, which makes a biiiig difference in games like battlefield. Skip to 5:45 in the video to see what a significant lag vsync adds....

I’m not sure you understand this generation lol

“The expansion is priced at $59.99 and will include the base game.”
That’s a bad way to word it. Look at all the confused comments saying “$60 for an expansion!?” No, the expansion is $40. But you can get it with the game for $60.

Good thing the GTX 980 has more VRAM than 3.5GB.

I’m sure they put a lot less effort into QA for this map, seeing as it’s only used for the fun, non-competitive game modes.

The Note 7 had the exploding fiasco, not the S7....lmao

2/10 troll

No, you shouldn’t. Most pirates are low income people who couldn’t afford it in the first place, so no sale is even lost. Every pirate I’ve met has done so out of a lack of income, and stopped pirating when they started making money. Many also use pirating as a means to demo the game, which is why pirates say “If you

Are you an actual overwatch player? This is a welcome change among the player base. The old system was basically “Are you lucky enough to be at easy grinding level during our limited-time grind event?” My friend grinded overwatch out the ASS to get to level 200 in time for the Halloween event, and was planning on

Ah, the classic humblebrag, with added condescension for flavor! Yum!

Kotaku is a fansite in general. Destiny was “the” game back then. Now it’s overwatch. Before that, Bloodbourne, Witcher 3, GTA V, etc. This isn’t new.

Presumably, someone got a $25 giftcard, thought “I’ll never use it,” and sold it to company A for $15. Company A turns around and sells it for $21. I don’t think its about re-using old cards lol

I say this as an avid pc gamer: Stop chiming into the “which console should i get” discussion with “GET A PC”
