@Kaiser-Machead: Not trying to be mean or anything lol. I want a 128GB iPod touch as much as you want a 64GB iPhone. All these games take up so much space on my 3rd gen iPod. Just saying I doubt it will happen. Each game is like no less than 700MB now.

Nice to know he was complaining about complicated features...and iTunes today is full of complicated features that I don't understand.

@Batmanuel: Oh nice useful comments. I would have thought there would be 10 apple haters trolling about how apple sucks for doing that in response for this post.

@Rabinowitz: Yep. Hate on Apple for making an kick-ass phone that was too much for the world's carriers to handle. I would say blame the carriers for not keeping up.

@Kaiser-Machead: When this happens they will be forced to make the iPod touch 5th gen 128GB and sell the 32GB for $229. I doubt this will happen this year.

@OreoExplosion: iOS runs better than a Nexus S on a 600 MHz 3GS. And there is little performance difference going from 3rd gen to 800 MHz 4th en on iOS devices...so I doubt it would even matter. Although I am begging for them to upgrade the graphics chip to an SGX 545, Apple can stick with the A4 for a whole extra

@albokay: How do Android users use more data? About the same I would say...Jailbroken iPhones may end up using more depending on how many mods you install.

I could care less about CPU...iOS is optimized to run well enough to run on a single core 600 MHz...but if the iPad 2 doesn't have an SGX 545, I'm gonna shoot someone. Apple was dumb to:

The app wasn't very good to begin with. Apple doesn't provide GPU acceleration to 3rd party apps, so 720p videos were worse than a sildeshow. 720p on a software decode implementation is next to impossible on those devices.

@John Kuntz: Why? Because you don't like the iPhone or because you don't want Verizon's bandwidth to get raped?

@Irving94: Well someone has never heard of The Pirate Bay...

@fnawesomewes: Yeah...look at Gameloft's Asphalt 5 screenshots and compare them to the actual graphics. The screenies look amazing while the game looks like crap. Now they seem to be legit in Asphalt 6 and most other games, but there are tons of cheap developers that post misleading screenshots.

@coryd: Well the iPhone 4 battery life is a big improvement over the 3GS. It can pull off almost 10 hours of Wi-Fi browsing battery life in benchmark tests. Comparable Android phones pulled off around 3-5.

@minibeardeath: And add in the usability of the UI. iOS is not as feature-packed as Android, but it manages to run as smooth as a Nexus S on a 600 MHz 3GS. On the other hand, Android performs like junk on anything less than a Hummingbird chip. I love Android for it's customization and features, but Google just hasn't

@BLToday: Mind you it's a Core i5. ARM chips in tablets and smartphones today use <1 watt. Even the most efficient x86 CPU although much higher performing, would use many times that much power. Most laptops with their huge batteries can barely pull of 2 hours with those tasks, so I doubt it will work here. IT works

@Timothy Wells: Apple hate much? What's wrong with the iOS device specs again? The A4 @ 800 MHz? Well at least Apple isn't dumb like Quallcomm and insludes L2 cache an a 64-bit memory bus in, so even at 800 MHz the A4 performs at par with if not slightly better than a 1 GHz Snapdragon. GPU? The iPhone 4 and 3GS had

@vein11: I'm a PC-fan and gamer but I must admit Unix based OSes utilize hardware much better than Windows. OSX on a Core 2 Duo Mac will probably perform similarly to a Core 2 Quad/low end Core i5 Windows desktop. (I don't mean video encoding speed, I mean the general interface.) It will boot up faster, load

@icfan: Remember the 3GS? That was the only iPhone to blow anything out of the water at the time. (Well at least in the sense of internal hardware). The Cortex-A8 CPU in the 3GS basically introduced L2 cache to mobile devices (and Qualcomm i still to damn dumb to use L2 in their 1 GHz chips), which gave it around

What's the point really? Now all the traffic from iPhone 5/4GTi/4[S]/4Turbo/(5th gen, w/e they call it) are gonna rape Verizon's bandwidth and make it's speeds and connection suck so bad that AT&T will start to look good.

Is it possible to Hackintosh my AMD based comp? I have an Athlon II X4, a GT 240, 4gb-ddr3, 750gb seagate 7200rpm hdd..
