Most of my medical school textbooks are available online through the university library. I would like to think other fields have this same luxury.

@Top_failure: I have a bluetooth mouse paired with my mac mini. I can wake my computer with the mouse so I don't see why you won't be able to do the same with a bluetooth trackpad.
