I’ve had Super Mario Sunshine since launch and played it immensely as a kid. I still haven’t beaten it.
It stands for “involuntary celibate”. It’s most commonly attributed to virgins who blame women for their inability to get laid. As a virgin myself, I find it upsetting when people make fun of others just because they haven’t had sex yet, but in the case of these toxic incels, I’d say any and all mockery towards them…
Collecting things just to have them seems like such a ridiculous effort. If they put it in a museum, that’s one thing, but all that effort just for bragging rights? I love buying retro games, but for the purpose of playing them. However, because of collector culture, buying these games can be harder than it should be.…
I appreciate his hard work, and I’m sure it sucks for people to shit on something you’ve put a lot of work into, but I just don’t like the design. League of Legends has always had the most generic, unappealing art style to me. I can only guess this stems from Blizzard’s whole “fantasy that is super colorful and…
Going off this flawed logic, we should rename MOBAs too. By that definition, games like Quake 3 Arena, Team Fortress 2 and Fortnite could be considered Multiplayer Online Battle Arenas.
That would be amazing! However, there would probably need to be limits as to how often and how close to the player the “animator” can drop items.
Hopefully I’ll be able to skip the Sephiroth monologue in the Temple of the Ancients. Seriously, I had to sit through that damn cutscene at least 20 times after dying to Demon Gate a bunch. In all seriousness, I’m super excited to see the Gold Saucer remade, but that won’t be for a few years at least.
It’s definitely not for everyone, but it’s not super miserable the whole time like most people make it out to be either.
Fun Fact: The new piano music is Rei Ayanami’s theme. Even to diehard fans, I’d say the soundtrack in Evangelion is extremely underrated (aside from the opening of course). I recommend anyone to take a listen to the Evangelion symphony CD they did a while ago. It’s got some beautiful music on it. I’m disappointed that…
I’m slightly disappointed now. Judging from the lack of a “Part 1" on the branding, I had assumed that the 4 years of development after the initial reveal were dedicated to making the whole game a complete package. Then again, the beginning Midgar sections of the OG FF7 were some of my favorite parts of the game, so…
Yeah, but all of Final Fantasy 1-7's tracks are in Japanese. Is anyone else seeing this too?
Spotify doesn’t have obscure 80s Anime OPs like Youtube does. I use Youtube as my primary music player. With Youtube Red, I can turn my phone screen off while the music plays so it doesn’t drain battery unnecessarily.
If you play it on Hurt Me Plenty it’s completely fine. In my opinion, I believe Romero made Ultra-Violence super hard on purpose as a big “screw you” to Doom purists who insist on playing on nothing but Ultra-Violence.

I have very little nostalgia for Winnie the Pooh, but re-watching those old Sonic Cartoon Youtube Poops are gonna somewhat disheartening now, as well as OK K.O.. That’s assuming that all this is true of course.
I’m not denying animators are poorly paid in some cases, but you made it seem like all entertainment industry jobs are underpaid, which isn’t true. Sure Japan is screwed, but not that’s not the case in other places.
Absolutely not true. I’m studying to enter the animation industry in Southern California. The union does a good job of taking care of people who are in the industry. People bitch about art school being expensive, but art school is a giant rip-off. I’m at a Cal-State school right now and I’m getting just as good of an…
I understand the point of this article, and it’s a good one, but as a white dude, I can’t help but feel a bit attacked by the dismissive attitude articles like these tend to have. Yes, having diversity is good, especially in media for impressionable kids, but I really dislike the modern “screw white people” attitude…
