To be fair, sometimes they have to use temp renders for trailers. It still looks like shite though.

I’m currently 20 years old. 2009 was when I started using the internet more often. Therefore, it’s a nostalgic time for me. This subreddit isn’t aimed at all you 90's kid geezers. Let us kids have our fun.

There’s also a fair bit of really nasty homophobia and transphobia that I found amongst some of the creators of Overwatch videos. Apart from how bigoted and wrong it is to be like that in the modern day, it’s always dismaying to see porn dominated by assholes in more than one way. Straight men aren’t your only

If anyone is willing to put in the time to create a video game, then more power to them, but I can’t for the life of me see why people would want to emulate pre-Doom FPS games. FPS Games like Wolfenstein 3D and Catacomb 3D do not hold up AT ALL in my opinion. Level design is important to me I guess.

Epic is just making emotes based on trends and pop culture. Not everything is an act of oppression against black people/culture.

I’m still of the opinion that washed up celebrities are just trying to make a fuss over Fortnite simply because it’s popular and want to get some attention drawn to themselves. What about dance tutorial YouTube channels that earn ad revenue on videos teaching how to do the dance? What about other games like Destiny

Epic is simply following trends and making pop culture references. That’s all it is. Not everything is an appropriation or act of oppression against black people.

I won’t pretend to know how exactly the U.S. Military operates, because I really don’t, but I just get a very skeevy vibe from all this.

I wasn’t aware. I was trying to be very careful with my comment, seeing as how Kotaku is the land of those who are easily offended. I personally would totally be down to see a live action version of this episode.

Amid Evil also uses the same technique despite using the Unreal Engine. It’s such a clash of artstyles and it doesn’t look appealing to me in the slightest.

I wonder how they will handle the “Mushroom Hunting” episode (if at all) in our current landscape. The original episode was a purposely satirical homage to old blaxploitation films, but I’m sure that wouldn’t sit well with a modern audience.

This isn’t an attack on women. It’s cringe culture. They’re not trolling girls that like video games, they’re trolling girls who DON’T like video games but are pretending they are because it’s cringey. I’ll admit that they’re being mean spirited, but that’s the ENTIRE POINT OF CRINGE CULTURE: laughing at someone

Last week, I sat down and played a half hour of Team Fortress 2 for the first time in a while. I had more fun in that half hour than I have all year with Overwatch. Overwatch doesn’t seem to have a timeless charm that games like TF2 have, at least in my opinion.

Hopefully the combat works now. I played the Alpha back in March of 2017 and it was pretty unbearable. Impressive, but still obviously a Doom TC. I’ll be optimistic about this though.

I hope they don’t just modernize old episodes. Remember when the 2002 version of Twilight Zone made “The Monsters are due on Maple Street” about fear of terrorists instead of aliens? It’s even worse than it sounds.

I honestly don’t think they’re trying to be intentionally malicious with any of these tweets. I think they’re just trying to provoke a laugh without realizing other interpretations of what they’re tweeting. Not everything is a personal attack, people.

I used to do something similar as a kid. When I would get stuck in a game, I would just play the beginning over and over again. I’ve still never beaten the original 2 Doom games, but I sure as hell know the first few levels like the back of my hand.

BREAKING NEWS: PEOPLE MAKE FUN OF PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET. They’re just shitposting guys. Chill. All memes die eventually.
