Tim Willits was hired at id because he was a notable member of the Doom modding community. I’m sure he would have known about MP only levels for Doom. Not trying to criticize him, though.

Don’t forget using people within people as a way to frame a shot and ending a scene with a silent, concerned look offscreen.
Don’t really see a difference. A comparison would have been nice. Some shots in the trailer look stunning and others look rendered in Source Filmmaker. @1:35 it looks like a CG previsualization of a movie. Yikes.
I was about 3 years old when 9/11 happened and I don’t remember it. It feels weird to have been alive for a national crisis and not remember it.
Old news, Kotaku
Looks awesome! Too bad it doesn’t look like us Westerners can play it. Oh well. Mario Kart: Double Dash on the VR version of Dolphin can do just nicely.
There is! Black Mesa is a fan-made remake of Half Life 1 on the Source engine and it is fantastic! The Xen chapter isn’t finished yet, but the rest of the game is and it is as good (if not better) than the original game.
They need to create a new engine. That gameplay looks janky as hell. The memories of unfair deaths due to my character not reacting to my actions in DayZ are all coming back to me...*shudder*
Could have sworn I saw this like, 5 years ago.
Too bad Quake Champions being Free will render this game obsolete.
OMG, I see that too!
Thought this was gonna tie into the North Korea threats. I was surprised.
My only knowledge of this game is that I know that the developers seemed to work their hardest on a fake Quake Champions website that emulated the official site and they claimed to be giving away open beta keys before the closed beta of QC was even announced. Signing up for the “open beta” on the website would take…
But can you beat Dark Souls with it?
.,
It recharges after 10 minutes, but it’s still annoying.
Killstreaks ruined Call of Duty....
At Santa Monica Pier I saw a car with a giant anime girl decal on it and a bumper sticker that said “once you go Jap, you never go back”. That’s all I can think about when looking at this article.
Distributing updates locally is probably the most ingenious thing that wasn’t announced about the Switch. I can’t tell you the amount of times I brought my 3DS to school to find out I was on a different version of Super Smash Bros as my friends and couldn’t play. This seems like an awesome remedy.
As a beginner animator, this is really insightful and interesting. While I’m geared more towards 2D, 3D animation blows me away just as much.
