Aside from visual Aesthetics, when have they expressed them selves as Women? sure, they say "her" so as to not confuse the viewer with an "it" but they have always called themselves "Gems" not male. female. man, woman or even human.

They have never stated "I am a Woman", they always identify themselves as Gems and have several times said "This body is just an illusion", maybe you should respect them before you label them with your narrow minded thinking,

I find it ver PROBLEMATIC, that some people still try and assign gender to the Gems, when they have stated over and over again, that they are just light constructs. They do not have Genders, they do not have a rigid sex, like humans, they can transform and shapeshift, they should not be constrained such identifiers.
