I don’t like the rules. I miss the old days of letting the kids play. But I can appreciate generally why the rules exist. Also, like the women’s golf tour has realized, you have to make exceptions for elite talent because it helps your game and sometimes players peak early. 

I think most Celtics fans would have taken the title over seeing Toronto (or worse, Golden State) get it during Lebron’s reset year. 

Yeah no idea what his New Balance deal is worth, but surely Ballmer gives him a Kobe contract at the end of his career if he wants it, to make up the difference. I was thinking it’s a lot of money to leave on the table, but...so much can change from year to year, that controlling your own destiny is worth the price.

it’s not about signing KD whether he’s Willis Reed or not. It’s signaling to other free agents that you can play for the Knicks again. It’s about relevance after trading a franchise guy under a rookie contract to clear cap space for THIS GUY. Now he gets to haunt you in YOUR CITY.

If the CFL had a US tv deal on a major network, I think it’d do fine. Also, NFL Europe would also work okay if it were rebooted but...NFL owners would have to care
