LOL at refusing to call Red Bulls, the Red Bulls. Well done.
I’m glad they did it, and that he accepted it.
i think if they can work the kinks out, the novelty is a cheap alternative for summer basketball. It’s very creative and if it lasts long enough, you could see brands potentially hitching their wagon to the team names/jerseys. too bad they didn’t make a deal with twitter to broadcast games that way too the FS1 tape…
they tried after the first game to do with the whole moving games from 60 to 50, but the games should instead just be played to a 20 minute running clock or something. ending games to points like a game of 21 at the park is cool, but 50 isn’t 21.
yeah this is super strange and a weird contract to quibble over even at the time given it wasn’t some 9 figure deal to somebody.
pretty cool. too bad we’re gonna finish 4th.
this is how he rolls. why is anyone surprised? it’s just weird he’s the one bankable guy that everybody wants to see in this league. (not that weird, i guess. but sorta surprised me?)
same.
way easier to get a electronic toll transponder than getting Global Entry. But agreed that it’s not that expensive relatively and if you fly a lot it becomes worth it especially in bigger airports.
Phoenix traffic sucks if you have to go across the valley though.
I have.
+1 Olerud apocryphal story (because the $1m check story is always followed by the Olerud batting helmet story in NY, except it’s not true. (Henderson and Olerud were both on the ‘93 Blue Jays)
Wonder what he has against Canada. Too cold?
LAFC replaced Chivas who folded a few years ago.
he premise of this entire article is CONCACAF sucks. Yes, but what the fuck is the US supposed to do? Join UEFA? Petition to get thrashed by COMEBOL teams for the next century? Like...we don’t play in the OFC and it’s only in this generation that we’ve come to accept US Soccer as a good but not great program as a…
Saw the headline. Knew who was writing it.
on the bright side, he’ll inherit the family business & probably will get feted by the Rangers once PR sees this video. Alas...
Thanks for letting him go, Blue Jays. Ugh.
This Jays team reminds me of those early 00s teams with good talent but that couldn’t manage to string anything other than a 4th place finish together. Fuck Rogers Co. & Shapiro for deflating the balloon.
