Or firewood, motorcycles and everything requested by “yes, dear...”

I wrote about this two years ago on this very sight.  Guess no one reads anymore.

At least if it is black, you can “fix it” with a Sharpie.

And you need more information than... what?

If we were honest as Americans, we would be driving this as well.

So oil prices are creeping up and all we want to buy are bombastic, inefficient and poor handling SUVs.

God, when is the SUV mania going to subside. Lets get some $6 a gallon gas and see how fast those fuel guzzlers get parked.

No question, other countries are not clamoring for vapid US design.  Not when you can buy or import more efficient, interesting and down right cool stuff.  Something we can not do in America, unless it is 20 years old.

I have a friend that absolutely loves ‘em. If you spend time on the road, this is the American equal to a Audi A6 or BMW 5 series, easily. And that Yamaha mill is a jewel, too.

Cool... but... my modded Aprilia Scarabeo will smoke it.  In fact, I’ve blown away Harleys, a couple BMWs (cars and bikes) and even a Corvette.  I can get at least 4 car links ahead before they know what happened.  Oh, they can catch me, but only by exceeding the speed limit.  The Screaming Weasel Scarabeo that I got

Get a Jasper re-manufactured engine, button it up and carry on.  Did that with my beloved ‘71 Dodge D100 pickup 25 years ago.  Still a stalwart truck.  So what the numbers don’t match?

Cripes.  We have NASCAR for that crap.  Not GP.

Live in the mountains of NC, sister lives two or three exits from BMW in SC.

How about “normal”?

I’d throw cash at that.  After living with a Mark 1 Rabbit Convertible (same year) they are simple, easy to live with, and with www.thesamba.com, you can find a forum that will answer any question.

After spending 12 years of my life in Antarctica, I can assure you, there is no junkyard. Everything is hauled out.  You haven’t seen recycling until you’ve seen it “on ice”.  9 bins, all lined up, saying exactly what should go in.

Had that happen to my wife, once.  She called her dad.  He showed up and said “find the keys, or this chair goes through your window as a start...”.  Funny the keys showed up ASAP.

I’ll add one more. And this is for people with good credit. It is standard practice to allow for dealers to add .5 up to 1.0 percent on people who have GOOD credit. When the “application” comes back the sales person will go “congratulations! you qualify for X percent interest rate!” with the .5 or 1.0 tacked on by the

One simple question: what is Ford going to sell when fuel prices climb up again?  We are fat and happy with cheap gas now...but how long will that last?

I guess my point is, Audi has been at the electric game longer than BMW, Mercedes or VW for that matter.
