She was probably pretty enough and talked different enough they were enchanted and wanted to take her in...

Anyone who believes fuel prices won’t go up is dim, challenged or just plain ass stupid. Go ahead, buy that gas sucking SUV.

Not on a bet. You can’t even start a good fire with a Land Rover.

It’s like slapping lipstick on a pig going to slaughter. Bosch may save VW, Audi, Porsche, BMW and Mercedes Benz for a little while longer....

Best news of the Day. Good to see Edd China again in his element.

Hell, Wal-Mart does it every single stinking day with their employees...

If I could buy another Subaru Justy 4x4 again I’d do it in a New York Minute. $8,000 out the door. Nearly 40 mpg, accelerated like it was shot out of small caliber handgun, and AWD that would haul it anywhere. Put 300,000 miles on it, with only a few CV Joints replaced. Screw big bloated stupid SUVs and Pickups that

Cars are becoming way, way too complex. I’ll keep my 1st generation, bog stock basic manual transmission, tach and AM/FM/CD and put 300,000 miles on it. Let me know sometime in 2024-26' what’s new.

As long as Audi and Ducati stay together, I’m good.

Aw, the Volkswagen saga continues. Volumes and tomes have been written already. If Diess can “save” Volkswagen and shepherd it from the misery of dirty TDI into electrical 300 mile retro vanlet thingie, he will be remembered as one of the greats.

God, I remember when they “pimped” a VW Thing. I owned one at the time (my second after one in the 80's). It was appallingly bad.

Salient sentence right here “The accident was a high speed (75-80 m.p.h.) collision with a misplaced sandbag as I came off the track....”

You must be an exemplary driver and a perfect human. Sorry to speak truth to you. Go back to your bubble.

Not to be mean or a hater, but did anyone see the video of the woman hit while walking her bike?

Future classic. I’d own a Cayman before I’d throw money at a new 911.

Like my ‘71 Dodge D100. A little time, a little maintenance, and a willingness to go... I’ve had some epic journeys in the old girl. After 18 years of Michelin XLTs, I rewarded her last year with new Michelins and Rhino Lined the bed. We’ve been together for 23 years... and in 23 more I’ll retire both of us.

Have you ever traveled outside the US? They build houses, skyscrapers, bridges and everything we do. And not a single oversize bombastic pickup in sight. Just little 3 cylinder AWD Subaru trucks. Flat bed, and they haul as much as any big ol’ ‘merican pick it up truck.

Because Americans think a big truck compensates for a small member.

Great. Manufacturers will rejoice and continue to make millions on uselessly huge trucks, SUVs that haul 8 (but only get driven by 1 most of the time) and other fuel guzzlers.

Just another example of VW making a great vehicle that would sell like the Beetle did... and not bringing it to USA... the land of massive pickups and SUVs.
