Can’t blame him at all. Nassar needs be put somewhere dark, dank, and without hope for the rest of his days.

Been wondering how long this slow death would take. I’ve got 300,000 miles on two wheels. Never wanted to own a Harley.
I took a loan out for a Subaru Justy 4x4 in 1988... it was $8k out the door. 315,000 mile later, I sold it for $750. I didn’t take another loan out until I bought my Audi TT Quattro.... paid it off 8 months early. Good thing, too, as I lost my job. Nothing felt so good as getting the title.
I was having a nice evening until I read that. Now I have to wash my eyes out - with bleach.
Is that the fat lady I hear getting ready to start up, her flemmy, smoke caked croaking just starting to chortle in the near distance....no one fear say her name...Recession...
Seriously. He was a VW true believer from the 50's... a really good educator working for VW Sales Training. Pity. Who knows why people do what they do? The timing was just suspicious.
And thousands of sales monkeys who where fed VWs load of hooey about “Clean Diesel Technology” over and over and over... and the best VW sales trainer we had, the one I always came back to the office thinking “....I really learned something..” and a true believer VW guy? He ate his 9mm about 9 months before the diesel…
Oh so very true. My early 70's Porsches? Any bottom feeder econobox today could wax it.
My old man, the man who got me in a Willy’s Overland Wagon was a big Lincoln Continental man for years. He drove 30K plus miles per year. There must have been 3 or 4 in memory... Later in life, he needed... more... his last full body Suburbans, his “Texas Cadillac’s” are what he last roamed this world.
Cars, any cars, are getting cheap. New or off lease, you can get a good discount - because the herd in Amurica’ Baby! has to have an SUV to haul all their crap.
Last year of the “sweptline” 1971. The Slant six is a 225
So the Bullitt Mustang sells for $300k, and this sells for 3+ times that? Unless it’s a mid-engine vette, no thanks and no freaking way.
I have a D100 and an Audi TT Quattro Coupe with 6 speed manual 225hp. It’s not a sports car. It’s a GT car. 85-100 mph travel is not issue at all, and more is on tap if necessary.
I just wish America was like the rest of the world: there is no Acura. Only in the USA.
Hmm. My Audi TT Quattro Coupe can hold two people, all the gear for a week, and two full kegs of beer... and still give me 30+ mpg and no issues with handling.
I don’t read tea leaves, but I have a gut level feeling a recession is in the offing, probably in 18-24 months. I’m glad my car and truck are paid off.
After not one, but two engines in our ‘85 Westy... no more. Ever. Once a VW fanboy, nevermore.
We were looking at bank repo house...walking in, it was nice... indoor sauna, sunken hot tub with an “underwater” access to the tub outside, were it was beautiful rock work. Wife was persistent, so I had a friend who is a home inspector take a look a couple days later; I met him there.
This is one monkey who has sailed The Drake Passage (look it up - short story: where the Atlantic meets the Pacific in frigid southern waters) 6 times... You ain’t seen seas run... I remember once in the wheel house, 5 stories up, the Capt. was in a 4 point harness with his coffee cup in a gyroscope. Looking out,…
Until we get out of the stone ages in HR and the stick in the mud late Nixon Republicans have all aged out, I have little hope for the South ever legalizing Marijuana... But keep the cheep beer coming and keep the ERs humming and keep the 69K+ deaths a year for booze.
