I think this article applies here:
Mr. P85D’s wife sounds like a keeper. His fiancee wants to pay her own way, so that is one less worry (and one less conflict point).
“Even though I let the salesman know they are my GP’s, he continued to screw them over by selling them a bare bones, no optioned Camry, at a stupid price”
I can relate to the sexist behavior of stealerships.
This is very interesting. I use Seagate extensively and had zero failures so far. I use a few Hitachi for 2.5” drives with no problems, either. I had 3 WD drives where 2 failed. The one that did not fail was used for an external backup.
Don’t forget the gas mileage for this hybrid was EQUAL to a regular Civic at 37 mph with a price premium. Hells no!

Jaguar XJ-220. A supercar tha tpromised a 12 cylinder, but was released with an anemic 6 cylinder.

What was wrong with the Countach?
I lay the blame squarely on Caltrans. They picked the steel contractors.
Definitely up there with Audi engineers.
Takata, apparently.
I disagree on this one. We have rockets filled with hydrogen and other flammable liquids all the time. I attribute this to lack of safety knowledge at the time.
