Hi troll. Your bridge is wondering when you are coming home.

I am horrible person for freaking out that my child was rolling down a street when my wife let go of the stroller and did not even know this was happening? You are a moron.

Here is your own comment:

Ivan256 pointed out to me that calling out people as idiots really stirred the pot. In reality, most of us take various levels of care and due diligence (distance, line of sight, technology) to make sure our kids are safe. Ironically, the majority of those same people calling me crazy also posted elsewhere that they

You assume wrong.

Fair enough. I am sorry for the offensive remark.

I got mad at my wife for not putting on the brakes, taking her hand off the stroller, and letting the stroller roll down an incline towards a 4 lane street after I chased after it with our infant in the stroller. How should a person feel chasing their runaway child down a street towards traffic while their wife is

The issue and the title of this article is

Here is the thing, someone already commented that leaving a child in a car with doors technically unlocked with A/C on at the other end of a job site is OK while you are saying it is not. We are now all splitting hairs on the degree of supervision.

Hundreds of thousands of kids die from starvation and disease. The rate of car accidents has nothing to do with leaving children unattended in a car.

Is battery life really an issue or rather energy density?

I have an E90 3 series and there is no button on the handle. It has proximity to open trunks and doors if the key is close enough. The key still has to be in the ignition to start the engine for climate control. That means my doors are still technically unlocked.

The article is about leaving kids unattended in a car. The article is not about general risk of existing on planet Earth.

The key word is “unattended”. Nowhere was my comment a blanket statement that you can not leave your child in your car. Just make sure you know where your child is.

My child is supervised by relatives when we are at work. His crib is in our room so he is with us at night.

Giving shit at the time of the incident is not overreacting given my INFANT child was rolling down a street towards 4 lanes of traffic. I caught the stroller. She never forgets to apply the brakes on the stroller since then.

But your child was not unattended.

My kid is an INFANT. If you feel otherwise, you can practice this style with your own children.

Unless this is a new feature in new cars, I have never seen a car that can engage climate control without the key in the ignition and the engine not running. Unless the driver carries a second set of keys, the door has to be unlocked, too.

Not leaving a child unattended IS A PRECAUTION. The presence of a parent is risk mitigation.
