Barry and the gang are pretty cavalier about locking people up for the rest of their lives.

is there an RSS feed for this thing, or can i only subscribe through soundcloud?

I haven't made it past 20 minutes yet. I can't figure out why that couple would ask Hodgman (wise though he may be) about this subject. He clearly knows nothing about the linguistic or political dynamics in Montreal. It's an interesting subject, but listening to Hodgman be pedantic about a subject that he knows

Yeah, but that guy sounded AWFUL. It was a good episode, but holy shit, that horrible guy!

No, he didn't all of a sudden get worse in the 90s. In fact, Depp has been so bad lately that it makes one suspect that he was always a hammy, bad actor who occasionally struck gold.

I was convinced that Mal Bachman was played by John Mulaney. He sounded *exactly* like Mulaney's Too Much Tuna guy.

I missed that WKRP roundtable until just now. Holy cow is it an eye-opener. Reading it made me want to scream, but thankfully the comments section was pretty thorough in its outrage at the "old stuff is gross" attitudes that the reviewers were proudly trotting out.

Not "Torontans".

No, not Klosterman.

Can you be more specific?

I saw these guys open for the Comedy Bang Bang tour recently, and they were pretty funny. The pre-taped stuff was especially good, which bodes well for the tv show.

I read this on the basis of this glowing review. Well, actually I read about half of it. The most interesting thing about it is how much it resembles a Stephen King book. But like current King, it's much much too long. If it were 400 pages, it would be good trashy fun. At twice that length it's a waste of time that

Yep, me too. I was only ever lukewarm on Lethem until that one.

Zebulon? Seriously?

Yes, it was hyperbole, and a somewhat silly generalization. Sorry to cause offense.

My observation, after living there for a couple of years, was that outside of wealthier people in the south-east (i.e. London and environs), most people over 18 are completely ravaged by poverty and alcoholism. Virtually the only people who can attain the standards of beauty peddled by the media are the children.

Yep, me too. I think Jonah Hill is talented, but there's only so much that 20-somethings have to say. Rushkoff, on the other hand, seems pretty brilliant.
