For a lot of boys Leia meant everything, too.

Your comment adds nothing to the conversation. Zero. Zilch. Nada.
fuck you
if ever there is a time and place to just shut up and let people be, it’s when they’re grieving someone they loved.
I just had a friend post some sanctimonious status about how more homeless people die every year than celebrities so we should all shut the fuck up. Because it’s impossible to care about more than one thing at a time.
I have been expecting it, but I’m still profoundly sad that it’s true.
Then why are you here if it bothers you so much?
You just freaked my freak. I didn’t realize who you were replying to at first. I love Betty and Sigourney, but we NEED RBG.
I’m exactly the same - whilst the other deaths have been sad, this one has had me in floods of tears. No one has the right to dictate whether you can mourn someone or not.
I hate when people do this. Just the other day I almost unfriended a couple of folks who took George Michael’s death (which hit me hard as a former 80's teen) to be smug about shitty superficial pop music. I’m like, if ever there is a time and place to just shut up and let people be, it’s when they’re grieving someone…
Fuck you
And what do you get out of making snarky comments on people’s grief?
I’m sorry, in the future I’ll run all of my emotional reactions past strangers on the Internet. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Carrie Fisher and Alan Rickman are the onesi cried over. I may be ridiculous, but at least I can feel.
Just another brunette who totally gets what you’re saying.
At this point I’d rather be covered in bees than full of them.
Exactly. He’s just one of those Filmmakers (with a capital F) who are just dismissive of anything vaguely pop culture related. I don’t know why we stayed FB friends this long.
I’m a manager at a comic book shop, I guarantee every customer is going to say something tonight.
Princess Leia and Ripley were my brunette heroines in a vast sea of vapid 80's blondes. Anyone who can’t understand what they meant for girls of a certain generation can go jump in a lake.
Now if you excuse me, I’m going to go light candles for the continued health and safety of Sigourney Weaver and Betty White.
I’ve been upset and sad about a bunch of the celebrity deaths this year, but this is the first time I’ve been just straight up sobbing. I just don’t want this to be true.
Also, unfriended a person I knew from college who was making fun of people caring about her as Leia. Okay, assface, we get it that you’re above Star…
