Or the end of the “pastry wars”.

Been a few years since I bought from a sub shop. But it used to be that JJ’s was better. At the very least, getting a gluten friendly option from them was simple (Salad or Lettuce Wrap), where Subway treated you like you asked them to shoot the pope when ordering a salad (even though it was on the freaking menu).

I was wondering about the egg in buttercream thing. And I found recipes that call for it - but they also include a step known as “tempering”. Except for one that called for heating the egg/sugar mixture in a bowl over a pot with some hot water in it.

And how is this better than calling in an order, being told “10 minutes”, and 10 minutes later they walk it out to my car?

How is Salmonella spread:

The new fangled device called a “freezer”. :)

I’ve made it for a relative who is lactose intolerant. Nido (Nestle) has a decent lactose free version of powdered milk, as does Dairy-sky. They work great as a 1 to 1 swap with the local store brand that I’ve been using for way to long.

As mentioned in the video, scammers do this as well. Official boots will have info on them so you can identify them as official.

The battery operated dremel on the other hand, works almost as well. I used mine recently to remove someones bike that they chained to the stairs of my mothers condo, making it extremely hard for the two residents with disabilities to enter.

And to show my age, I remember when these were part of the free, all-u-can-eat menu at happy hour. And some of us at work/school hit the local places regularly since for the price of a beer you could get a full meal.

Are these real wings, or just “adult” versions of Nuggets?

I have been driving an older relative recently, and she doesn’t like my normal road tunes. So I dumped my movie music into a folder on the phone and play that instead. It surprised me how many hours of movie instrumental soundtracks I’ve accumulated. Everything from Fantasia to Morricone to Last of the Mohicans

You seriously think that the reason the US doesn’t get these because people here don’t want them?

Not really. We aren’t talking frying up chicken portions in your cast iron skillet.

You suffer?

You left out what is definitely in the top 10 for many foods - consumers are used to crappy stuff they get at home/wor/friends house, and think there is something wrong with a properly made beverage/treat.

No, it is that the US consumer is willing to accept mediocracy from merchants like this. And because we don’t request certain foods, they decide we don’t want foods similar to those, or derived from them.

Damn. The people who have already asked me this year for my hot chocolate mix must just be sparing my feelings.

Taco Bell is a place I frequent when traveling as their bowls are gluten free enough that I won’t get sick - and they are actually filling enough that I don’t feel as if I need something else.

Air fryer works wonders for the tot. Spread in an even layer with some room between them. Spray with something like Pam. Flip and respray.
