I would call the cops if something I rented was being taken from me by an unauthorized third party. Keep in mind SHE would have been initially held responsible for any charges accrued. That is a form of theft.
Are you defending a Black male, with friends, who tried to take a bike from a visibly pregnant woman?
The bike is connected to the app. When you rent one, the app directs you to specific bike that you are renting.
Maybe no payment was taken, but that is because the bike went nowhere. She did bring the receipts showing the bike was her rental.
Have they looked for Uhaul rentals and large thefts of diesel?
Not exactly. They are also saying TikTok should prevent people in the state from accessing the app - and holding them responsible if they fail to do so. And as Facebook demonstrated in Australia, it is possible to block a geographic region.
but Shipt marks up all the stuff you’re buying, so you’ll pay a bit more than you would if you bought the stuff in person
Yes. This is pending, and the SEC is reviewing the impact on the market. I figure I will know when it goes through if either the Harris Teeter or Safeway by me close - since there is no way the SEC would allow them to have two locations across the road from each other.
Thanks for the tip. I’ve been using one of the Bullet blenders for this, and it frequently doesn’t mix everything together.
You didn’t read the post, did you?
When I was in school I would read from the assignment (or do whatever work was needed) for 30 minutes, read a book for fun for 10-15 minutes, go walk for 10. Repeat.
Reminds me of a joke:
I would be shocked that the ACLU, SPLC or even possibly the Institute for Justice don’t have a statement on this already. And it is disappointing that this post doesn’t reference such a thing.

The difference is, Miles Morales is not portrayed a Peter Parker. He is just someone else who was bitten by a radioactive spider (no wonder New Yorkers stomp spiders). Even Peter’s clone, Ben, is not portrayed as the original spider man.
This is just one of the reasons why a national police license is required. And being caught doing something racist should be a reason to lose that license.
I just checked.
Watching the news today, I saw a couple of the knuckleheads who got this passed talking about how they were protecting citizens private data from being collected by the filthy communists (ok, I paraphrased). It is apparently perfectly ok for every other government and corporation in the world to collect/purchase this…
