I don’t know when this freckle on my elbow became kind of flaky and weird, but now that I do know, I probably should get it looked at. Just because I didn’t notice it earlier doesn’t mean it still isn’t a problem to be dealt with.
Given a good portion of them are saying racist things, including actual WWII era Nazi slogans, I’d say the ones who are “protectin muh herituge” might be in the wrong crowd.
And yet some will insist they’re not really Nazis...
After living through it, just hearing the word ‘Norovirus’ is enough to make me a bit queasy and depressed. It wasn’t ‘Don’t feel good, gonna stay on the sofa and watch TV’; it was a lot of ‘Oh dear god please let me nap for the next hour without shitting myself’...
No, she makes money by taking your photos and creating original entertainment and educational content using those photos, and selling advertising based on that content. And no one is arguing this is journalism, just that it’s fair use of the photos.
zillow is “fun real estate.” I was unaware people actually used it to make sales. Our realtor advised us to never, ever trust prices on Zillow (and indeed, they were wildly off when she pulled the actual history on houses we were interested in).
Where did you get the idea that you can’t make money from fair use? Because that’s not true at all.
Hey guys, I’ve reached out to find out about ways people can donate and help the monument get repaired. I will post an update as soon as I have information.
Is it flaunting literary privilege to say that anyone going into a production of 1984 without some idea of what they’re going to see deserves what they get?
My town leaves warning signs on the door if lawns aren’t regularly mowed. If ignored, we get a fine. I let mine grow so roots are deeper but don’t want to deal with Code Enforcement. I have stopped any kind of weed spray, however, and welcome the clover!
This article (or at least the headline) is really, really bad advice for anybody who lives in a city or suburb. Local governments have written laws explicitly addressing this. If you fail to mow your lawn and keep it at a reasonable length, the local municipal government will show up at your house and mow your lawn…
HOA not required. Lots of towns have strict lawn policies. There’s concern about snakes, mosquitoes and other pests. In a lot of places if you let it go too long, the city will mow it and then send you a bill. And it’s a lot more than any landscaping company would charge.
It is still not clear to the family how Malachi got his hands on the dangerous weapon. Stephens said that he got the gun from a friend who got it from someone else. Investigators are looking into finding out who originally had the gun and passed it to the friend, the news station notes.
I’m completely ok with them until their response to a suggestion that they do it is to be assholes about it, and I’m fully on the “fuck these guys” wagon when someone else does it for them and they get salty about it anyway.
What does breaking the law have to do with anything?
Someone else in the reddit thread found that they are indeed breaking Indiana DOT standards and it was found their cone placements were woefully short and that they needed to have two flaggers in place, one on the close lane approaching side and one on the open lane approaching side.
They are breaking the law. Stop playing dumb. Stopping a vehicle in a lane of traffic intentionally, performing work in the roadway, without proper signage or permitting, is breaking the law.
I refuse to believe this is right at the “what a normal and logical human would do” level. If that’s true, I give up on humans.
They actually are. I’m a surveyor in civil services and there’s an Osha requirement for blind turns and corners. these guys are fucked. insurance is going to win a lawsuit vs them an Osha will likely levy fines.
