4.1 0-60 and carbon tub and 60k makes a lot of sense.
The most fun I’ve had in a car was in my school’s FSAE car with a sequential manual. I like a manual, but a sequential box, driven in manual mode, has its place too.
Nice topic. GTI is a good choice - I chose a Fiesta ST for myself because I like how it drives, it fits my stuff, and people on my street don’t really notice it.
Towing with the 1500 piece linked to this; missed it earlier, but nice and insightful.
And now I’ve read it. Spot on. I don’t have the engineering licensing to officially advise in this realm, but a year each in diesel fuel systems and turbo plumbing are experience enough for me to give the project two thumbs up.

This is a car that will run a quarter mile in 10.5 seconds and has a top speed of 207 mph. Set it right, and it's only civilized in the sense that "civilization" is also a thing that developed the hydrogen bomb.

I slipped the clutch to get started, got it up to about 45 or so, cut the engine off so I wouldn't keep accellerating, and then coasted until I needed more speed, when I'd turn it on…
The Veyron wasn't exactly the most desirable car ever made, taking ten long years to sell 450 of them. The drivetrain, though, was an irrefutable masterpiece.
Were you on the Autoweek Combustion Chamber?
Ah, got it. Does it look like they're using that here?
