Ahem, velcro?
Great piece overall and a read worth any anime viewers time. One thing I’ve never understood myself is the equality factor of fan service. As a straight male, I have no issue in admitting my occasional pass/approval for some fan service scenes. However, I typically watch with my wife who is also straight, so fan…
Not to be that guy, but magazine is the correct term. Magazines contain bullets while clips held bullets together, and were more typical with WW2 era firearms.
Haha I feel like her sarcastic nature can be broth brutal and understanding. She is a murderous AI of course. ;)
My S.O. and I built our gaming relationship on Portal 2. IMHO, the perfect intro game for an S.O..
I might be in the minority, but I honestly prefer the original style. The contrast in stroke variation and coloring just add so much more personality on the artists part. I could determine which artists worked on the earlier volumes. The later ones feel like it could be anyone’s work.
The characters were great, and the moments they shared left me wanting more. Good and bad point there. After you build a relationship with a character, you hit a wall, and there’s simply nothing further of value that character can provide beyond a party member.
I think the world agrees that Armored Core must continue. It’s a classic that has held it’s own since the PS1. I am however, a bit fatigued with the current system in modern AC games. The customization was great, but there seems to be more emphasis on speed, dodging and timing. What made early AC games so great was…
Have always loved the game, but agree for the most part with the general opinion. A bit late to open things up. I feel that joining the community at this point wouldn’t be the experience newbies deserve. Too far behind the majority of the player base.
Cool concept, though I’m a bit saddened that it isn’t the mansion itself that is ever changing to thwart you. Psychological horror in which a building is sentient, and or reflects what has happened in it previously has always appealed to me.
Reminds me of that paint mode in bomberman, only your color dictates your path of travel. Cool and simple concept!
I would throw in a vote for 08th MS team as well. It’s one of the best yet underrated series in the Gundam lineup. It’s also fairly short compared to others, so might be a shorter time investment.
Gorgeous work. Makes me really miss the Armored Core series. Reboot please? Maybe something turn based?
Too soon haha.
Agreed! It’s that perfect mix of feel-good, and culinary.
Completely in agreement here. I DM’d casually in highschool and once my childhood buddies spread out to colleges, pen and paper was no longer an option. Something like this would help us for hour-long short plays, yet keep my planning time small enough to still live a normal work life.
There are few tracks that I could stand to listen to for long periods of time, but Shinin’ is without a doubt one of those few great zone out tracks.
THIS. Always been an AC fan, and some new blood or reimagining of the series could do it some serious good. Great games, but perhaps a bit same-y beyond graphic overhauls and new parts and whatnot.
Fantastic art direction, and the combat looks well paced and methodical. Can’t wait to see more of the human world left behind and the ties to classic Science Fiction certainly shows and shines.
