1. Watchmen cost 130 million and made back 187 million. This is not a flop, and even if it were, Watchmen is one of the least-commercial comics of all time. That it made this much money is an astounding feat for DC.
2. Only two batman movies beat Man of Steel. And if you notice, Nolan was an advisor to the project.
