The reviewer lumps all people of faith as right-wing nutjobs, a vast exaggeration bordering on falsehood.

Oh, because a liberal would NEVER use tragedy to shift blame!

The author calls faith-based movies a ghetto, ignoring that many classic movies were faith-based. You can't be a secular nihilist and make Lillies Of The Field, or Home Alone, or many, many other movies.

I'm not defending the movie, I'm attacking the review.

Plenty of people have guns and don't shoot up theaters.

This review smacks of disrespect not only for religious people, but for people of faith in general. This speaks to the mindless secularism that has poisoned movie culture. It also disrespects movie history: Don't you know that many legendary movies of the past were based on faith and spiritualit? You and your nihilism

Haha, BLACK mail.

Though to be fair, I was more emotional at the time of previous posting. It sure didn't SEEM like a C-.

Yes, it is that galling. I can live with C- movies if they actually are a C-.

The internet has apparently made people stupid or something.

Their stuff is actually mostly pretty good.

Or an elementary teacher. He just doesn't have the temperment.

She did elevate it. It was just too much to overcome single-handedly.

A c-MinuS? Are we kidding right now?

Or have bad English.

My dad saw someone's two 8 year old daughters in the theater for Bruno. #truestory

"In a post-Pixar world, where audiences have become accustomed to quality animated family films"

Yeah, but you're an AV club commentor, you're inclined to care. What pleasure or pain does Birdman offer the working classes and young kids that regularly see movies?

Well, at least I know enough to recognize his misogynistic tendencies.

Yeah, a civil-rights-oriented athlete. Like Ali or (apparently) Antwone Fisher.
