Is it me or are the second and third paragraphs the wrong way around?

I think there’s probably a few 4th place Tour de France riders who’d disagree.

It would cost an insane amount, it wouldn’t be close so would get boring, and everyone would die.

Most of them are pretty nice. The French and Italians can usually outdo them for steering feel, sure, but the ones I’ve driven have been pleasant.

Yeah, they’re pretty location-dependent. If you go to the car park of any given McDonalds/Burger King/Max in the evening, in one of the smaller cities in more rural parts, you’re pretty likely to see a few.

There’s plenty of other sports that have some similarity in the Olympics.

Why would someone prefer it? Why not? Would it be cheaper? Probably not; it needs more ice. Would it be the first choice sport of athletes? Yes, some, but outside of countries where it’s a big deal I imagine it would mainly be converted ice
