You have the right idea. Once you switch to a decent PC there is little to no reason to go back save a few exclusives which are greatly outweighed by the benifits of PC anyway. That being said PS4 is a good console but I got sick of the proprietary nature of all of them a long time ago.

The size is just one thing. Even if you do have the space many of the more compmex mods require some sort of script editor like skse and I doubt Sony or Microsoft will ever allow that. There may be some basic mods available but not the variety or complexity possible on PC.
