Well, considering Tesla does not have a PR department (Elon fired them) and his auto reply is a poo emoji, this is as good as it gets.

At what point in the article does it claim that it wasn’t employees as sources to Reuters?

I’m guessing Musk sent some late night drug and sleep deprivation induced emails and this is the result. Especially since Reuters has secondary confirmation of some of the story. Once again, something he would be much better off having a PR department handle

but he’s not dumb.

Nah, I loathe the guy but he’s not dumb.

Yeah, I miss the days when people just said “this report is inaccurate” without the Trumpian addendums of “your paper is failing and your writers are lying hacks.” It’s so juvenile.  Musk sounds like a kid who screams “your face is stupid and smells like butts!” every time he doesn’t get his way.

And he also has to throw a childish insult a la trump.

Model 2 of course would share styling with the Cybertruck

Having a true “robo-taxi” implies that Tesla (the manufacturer) will carry all liability in an accident. Until we see that happen, there isn’t going to be any “robo-taxi”.

For one: They won’t be allowed to be used in the EU unless Tesla can show they’re safe. And even then, it would probably be at most a pilot project in some specific (i.e. few) cities/towns.

Musk, back in April 2019 promised “1 million robotaxis”. “Next year”.

It’s clearly a knee jerk reaction, the way Trump calls any coverage that is unfavorable to him “fake news.”

It’s definitely a much worse decisiion.

Robotaxi sounds like more key-jingling in front of investors to distract them from the trash fire the company really is to give the more false hope for a mythical new profit stream that will never pan out.

Musk fails upward. He is such an idiot.

Doesn’t matter if he believes it. It’s still a lie.

Robotaxis - ROFLMAO. They can’t get what they have to work right.

Pretty accurate statement, unless he believes all of his bullshit.

Going all in on Robotaxis might be a much worse decision than that stupid Cybertruck

If Musk is talking, then he’s lying.
