I think the most probable connection the Horne bros scene has to the rest of the show is Ben's line (paraphrasing here): "Tell her we'll refund the room if she keeps our 'spa' business running in New York." Seemed to me that might imply that Ben Horne is the person behind the box in NY, or is at least involved in it.
