Recent Bolt and Bolt EUVs are not under any recall, my fact-challenged friend. They have not built many of the fixed version, but the road is clear for them going forward.
my comment was tongue in cheek. Nobody knew it was coming. But people in the comments will act like people SHOULD have know it was coming. You know, vertically integrate everything and have 1-2 years supply of everything on hand.
I’ve seen rows of Jeep Gladiator and Wranglers at Stellantis Belvidere Assembly outside of Chicago, which normally assembles the Cherokee. I think everybody is doing this to some degree.
LOL, if you say so!
In fairness, Covid caught almost everyone in the world by surprise.
Or run for office.
By “American auto industry,” you mean damn near every industry worldwide which has been affected by this mess?
You’re right. Design is subjective. Some design pushes norms. Pushing norms makes some people uncomfortable.
This past spring, I gave my 2 year old Honda mower to my son because I honestly didn’t like it. I bought an Ego, and love it. Quieter, no gas or oil to worry about and depending on how deep the grass is, I can get 1-1 1/2 mowings out of a single charge.
Wow. our old JS35 blew the rear axle, so while waiting for a replacement bought the Ego with the 10Ah battery. That thing would not last for a 0.3 acre backyard :-(
Your right, the buy-in is stiff, but I am still happy with going electric over my old gas mower. Like people have mentioned, don’t need to store gas or oil for fueling and oil changes and I can stand the elec. mower on it’s ass because it folds up and sits up against the wall. Plus, it is much quieter and I go out to…
IMO the answer isn’t banning them
I love ego products. The blower that I use at work died. I called them up I did not have a reciept and could only guess my purchase date. It had been at least four or five years. They shipped a new blower out to me express. They just asked me to drop the blower off at a recycling center. No big deal because it is on…
I see a lot of great reviews of the 80v stuff. The only problem is the high purchase prices of quality units.
my daughter and her fiance just bought the eGo mower, they have about 1 full acre of grass to mow and are just about able to do it on 1 of the 7.5 Ah batteries. they also bought the leaf blower which comes with a 2.5 Ah, so if the 7.5 runs out they swap and there is plenty of juice to finish. for reference, a similar…
I’ve got an older black and decker battery electric mower that can do my front and back yard no problem, even when the grass has gotten long, even when there’s a crapload of leaves- I can get 1 hour of mowing from a charge. It’s now pushing 4 years old and it’s still going strong. Might just be that you got a bad…
Yeah, I see Ego a lot too. It helps they have an entire lineup so you can use the same batteries and chargers for the virtually all your powered tools. That way you always can easily swap instead of waiting for a charge.
Same here. Have an EGo mower and leaf blower. Just bought a string trimmer to go with them. I have a townhouse lawn so one charge on the mower battery lasts pretty much all summer. Went to go mow a month ago and the battery was low so I just grabbed the battery off the blower and tossed it in and away I went.
I also have been using an Ego mower and trimmer for the last couple of years. I have a small yard (~1100sqft) and can get through 3-4 mows of long grass before needing to recharge. The battery for the trimmer I just recharge at the same time, but I don’t think I’ve ever run it down to empty. The Ego trimmer I have…
