There will always be those in all communities who feel they need to defend those being challenged in their bullshit as if it earns that person a cookie, the Muskrats are likely the worst in the automotive world, but bullshit must be called out to make things better and make Jalopnik the place it once was. We’re past

Current Jalopnik staff hate GM and that’s all there is to it. If this was a Lexus or Infiniti the tone and title would’ve been drastically different. Hoping your new EIC can clean the staff up, this isn't what Jalopnik was built on.

Jalopnik hates GM

Also, every black person I’ve encountered who identifies as/votes Republican does so based on those two issues (abortion and gay marriage). Their pet issues trump common sense and their own best interests (pun intended).

I used to believe this, but I don’t anymore. I honestly believe homosexuality and abortion are just the new dog whistle terms. I’m in deep red territory. I hear people all the time talking about how they are 1 subject voters and that subject is abortion. But in honestly, they don’t give a damn about anyone but

I hate polls. Wait, no, I hate the headlines that come from polls.

There were 2,829 people polled. 1,924 of those people were white.47% of those white people said that they would vote from Trump.

47% is not 50%. That’s the difference between someone getting electoral college points. Shouldn’t the headline read, 47% of

Funny, it was the same exact one for me. I did check off obesity since I’m over that line by ~5 pounds. I don’t know if that increases or decreases my odds of being selected.

I filled out the questionnaire because I would like to be part of the solution, but I doubt I’ll be chosen. I know they need to diversify the test pool, and I’m just your average 37 year old white dude with no particularly interesting conditions.

I don’t disagree with anything you said. Rooting for us to fail is ridiculous. This company provides a comfortable middle class lifestyle for many Americans, both blue collar and white collar. Yes, there are certainly some valid criticisms of our vehicles, but I don’t think we make any products that are inherently

I’m pretty surprised and happy about that. I don’t know about you, but for my family the 20% deferral has honestly not been painful since we aren’t really spending money on anything other than basic living expenses. I realize that is an incredibly privileged thing to say.

Every manufacturer poaches employees from other companies, and with that comes knowledge.  I don’t see this as earth shattering.

Now

I mean... it’s not too far off already, especially compared to the rest of Texas.

I 2nd this.

I think the point was that the redneck militias didn’t know how hard they’d pussy out.  Sometimes that self-awareness is a fucking mindkiller.

there was never a market for Chinese cars in the US. our market has been over saturated for years and its just now finally winding down with companies like Ford & GM discontinuing alot of their lineup.

Question is do you like Pickup trucks, not the people that are driving them.

Sounds like something an Oakland County resident would say ;)

I think the truth is somewhere int the middle. OEM’s will tighten their belt to get through this, but I supply to their tiers - and let me tell you every single one of them is but a hair’s breath from insolvency by being squeezed from both sides. OEM’s will remain, but a lot of people will lose on these businesses as

Fear-mongering is bad, but so is burying your head in the sand. We lost something like 200k small businesses in the last recession and we’ve already lost more than 100k so far due to the pandemic.
